Dr Karen Leann Rogers

Can't say enough good about this lady. We have been trying to get my son help for years and she was what we were looking for. It only took about 4 weeks to get an appointment which was almost a year sooner than we could have gotten in to see most other Developmental Specialists.

We had to wait 60 days to get in to see Dr Rogers. It was worth the wait. she spent wll over an hour with my son. She talked to him, examined him and took him outside to watch him run. I highly recommend her.

Great Doctor and nurses and practitioners. Can't say the same about her admin staff. Rude and uninformed to put it politely.

It took us 4 months to get in to see Dr. Rogers, our family drove 6 hours roundtrip to see her, and she spent roughly 7-10 minutes with our family and observing our child. This is a fraction of the 1 - 1.5 hour appointments offered by developmental pediatricians in Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, or Houston. We attribute this brief observational period as the primary reason that our son's autism was overlooked at 19 months by Dr. Rogers (our regular pediatrician had caught it at 15 months old). She told us our son was not classically autistic and sent us home with no diagnosis and a speech recommendation. When we returned for our follow-up appointment we never got in to see Dr. Rogers and our son's condition had worsened so much that the Nurse Gwen simply shrugged her shoulders and said, "Well, he sounds autistic." At that time, we disengaged with Dr. Rogers and sought help elsewhere. We also enrolled our son in Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, got a full food allergy… test, and began a Gluten-free/Casein-free diet. All of these things have had a dramatic impact on our son's life and his future and NONE of them are recommended by Dr. Rogers. If you have a child with possible ADHD or Autism, please seek help elsewhere. There are excellent developmental pediatricians out there and helpful literature to benefit your child and family. This doctor hurt my child and our family in her negligence. She is ignoring a large body of research that helps these children and appears to be diagnosing children very late and then medicating them because the condition has worsened to such a grave degree.

Dr. Rogers was the best doctor I've ever met with! She was very receptive to our needs. Asked great questions I knew would help us. She spent PLENTY time with us... I almost felt guilty for taking up so much time with us. She didn't rush in or out of our room. I was very pleased with her follow up ability. I had to stay in touch for various reasons and was never left nervous and waiting. I would recommend Dr. Rogers to ANYONE, ANYTIME!
