Dr. Karen Leslie Young, MD

This doctor was the most rude person I have ever dealt with. When I was finally able to meet with her to discuss my husband's condition, (when I tried to find out why they were sending my husband back to the nursing home without taking care of his condition) she completely turned away from me when she spoke to me and when I asked her to look at me when she talked to me, she told me she would look at me if she wanted to and if she didn't she wouldn't, then got up and left the room. They had earlier called my daughter to tell her they were sending my husband back to the nursing home, that I was asking too many questions ("bless her little heart"). He had an INR of 17 at that time and the medical doctor said he didn't want to send him back to the nursing home with an INR that high so moved him to the medical floor. After he had been there for 9 days (5 of which he was restrained to the bed, both hands tied even though he was completely paralized on his right side)--they got him up and… put him in a chair and left him there and he fell out of the chair onto his head--I asked that he be sent to the VA Hospital in Little Rock. Never again will anyone from my family be sent to the Conway Regional Hospital. And never again to Karen Young.

This doctor treated my mother very rudely, to the extent that she couldn't speak after the meeting. Her staff were also incredibly rude. During the meeting the doctor would not look at my mother while she addressed her, to criticize her for calling to ask questions, and when my mother asked if she would look at her, she said it was her option to choose whether to look at her or not, then left the room! I plan to file a report.

Dr. Karen Young misdiagnosed my dad. She failed to follow post op tx. Her bedside manner was the poorest I'd ever seen, she was negligent, and she even threatened my poor, sweet mother with locking her up for 7 days in a psych ward. My mom was only reacting to the atrocious news that my dad "wasn't ever going thru McDonalds drive-thru again." These were her EXACT words. Just ask some of her colleagues. Her mistreatment led to my father's demise. He was 79 yrs old jogging 10 MI/a day only weeks prior. Horrid woman.
