Dr. Thomas Dudney describes aesthetic dentistry as “a unique blend of artistry, vision, and technical expertise. Above all,” he emphasizes “the true aesthetic dentist must be passionate about achieving a satisfying, enduring result for each and every patient”.
Thomas E. Dudney DMD, a 1977 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, has maintained a patient-centered private practice in Alabaster for 26 years with focus on aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
He has served as the Clinical Director for the Aesthetic Advantage hands-on programs taught by Dr. Larry Rosenthal at New York University, the Eastman Dental Clinic in London, and senior instructor and lecturer with …Aesthetic Advantage in West Palm Beach. He is presently the Program Director for the Frontier Dental Laboratory’s Northern California Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry in San Francisco. In addition to teaching and lecturing, Dr. Dudney has authored several articles on aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Dudney is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Association, and the Birmingham District Dental Society.

Their mutual commitment to excellence in dentistry and patient care fostered a natural affiliation between Dr. Kari L. Bartlett and mentor Dr. Thomas E. Recognized as Outstanding New Dentist by the American Association of Women Dentists and recipient of the Eleanor J. Busbee Memorial Scholarship, Dr. Bartlett is a 2004 graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Dentistry. She completed her General Practice residency at Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Baylor University College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas focusing on the treatment of medically compromised patients, dental implants, and advanced dental treatment options. Dr. Bartlett elected to return to her native Alabama to establish her dental practice.
In addition to her practice, Dr. Bartlett maintains a faculty position with the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. Dr. Kari Bartlett is a member of the American Dental Association, the Birmingham District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

One word sums up Kristy’s job description – EVERYTHING! As Practice Manager, Dr. Dudney’s able assistant of 22 years (yes, 22 years) can perform every function in the dental practice from the business office to the most delicate restorative and cosmetic procedures…and she does it all while flashing her distinctive zillion-kilowatt smile!
Born in Bourne, Massachusetts, Kristy saw the world as the child of Air Force parents. According to Kristy, “I always knew I had to use my God-given talents to improve people’s quality of life. Dr. Dudney challenges me to become “ever better” as we create beautiful new smiles for patients --- including accident victims, Seniors or others who can no longer chew or bite properly, or those plagued with life-long health and image issues due to congenital or acquired dental defects. I make a difference by helping Dr. Dudney provide the best in dental treatment options!"
