I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the care I received during my pregnancy and miscarriage experience. I was 2.5 months pregnant, 40 years old, a Black woman, and I have a history of high blood pressure and heart problems — all factors that should have made my pregnancy high-risk and deserving of serious medical attention. During the entire 2.5 months of my pregnancy, I was never seen in person by this doctor. No appointment was ever scheduled for me to meet with the doctor, discuss my medical risks, or create any type of birthing or care plan. Despite repeatedly communicating through MyChart and expressing concerns multiple times, I felt ignored and dismissed throughout the entire process. I reached out three separate times regarding concerns about my pregnancy and health — twice while I was still pregnant and once after I suffered a miscarriage. Even after the miscarriage, I was never properly checked to make sure everything had passed… safely. Instead of receiving thorough follow-up care, I was simply given options: retake the four pills to continue the miscarriage process, get an ultrasound, or wait another week. Considering my age, medical history, and the emotional and physical seriousness of what I was going through, I found this level of care extremely unacceptable. I felt like decisions about my health and safety were being based only on my hCG levels rather than a complete evaluation of my condition and well-being. This was my first pregnancy, and instead of feeling supported, cared for, or guided, I was left feeling abandoned during one of the hardest experiences of my life. This entire experience was emotionally devastating and traumatic. I trusted this provider with a high-risk pregnancy and did not feel my concerns were ever taken seriously. No patient should have to beg for care, especially while dealing with pregnancy complications and miscarriage. I am extremely disappointed in how I was treated. This was the worst medical experience I have ever had, and I will be sharing my experience with the medical board and on every appropriate review platform where this provider’s name appears.

Kind, compassionate, takes time to answer questions, returns calls herself very promptly

but she really crossed the line when I told her I was homeschooling my children. she must not have agreed with me on that, because she was really rude to me after that. I sought out another doctor that used to work with her, that left the practice. I always asked her to check my hormone levels, cause I felt something was wrong with me, and she said that she didn't find checking them did any good. I went to the other doctor and told her all my symptoms, and she checked them right away and I got the diagnosis of PCOS. Dr oliver really made me suffer with hormone imbalances, when she could have easily treated me.

Dr. Oliver has always gotten back to me with results and phone messages in a more than timely manner. She has been caring and competent throughout the years and even came to the funeral of one of our sons who passed away. She goes above and beyond just giving sound medical advice and care. I would recommend her to anyone for any type of women's care.
