Dr. Karim Kabiruddin Shakoor, MD

Dr. Shakoor refused to see me for an urgent appointment because I previously chose to use another doctor rather than him. He said he would not be able to discern anything from a previous endoscopy, which is absurd. It was evident that he was unhappy that I had not used his office to have the previous tests done two years prior. His behavior was condescending, unprofessional and unethical. The only good thing I can say is that he did refund my co-pay and said he would not bill my insurance.

All the folks at the office are like family to us they remind me of the old time Dr s from yrs ago cant find that these days .My whole family sees him.

Dr. Karim Shakoor is one of my favorite doctor and of course the best Gastroenterologist around Atlanta. He is treating my GI problems for the last 4 years. I recommend him to all GI patients living around Atlanta.

Dr. Shakoor performed my first colonoscopy at age 46 (colon cancer runs in my family). When his staff told me the Versed anesthesia would make me forget, I opted to have the procedure without medication. It made the nurses nervous, but I did just fine - it was fascinating to see my insides, and all three polyps that were found and removed. I cannot recommend him more highly - he did not hurt me, even though I was fully awake and unsedated. What a champ!
