Dr. Karine Vladimir Airapetian, MD

My experience at the psychiatric unit was one of the worst healthcare experiences I have ever had. I came seeking help during a vulnerable moment and expected professionalism, compassion, and respect. Instead, I encountered staff members whose behavior I found rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Rather than feeling supported, I often felt ignored and spoken to in a manner that I considered disrespectful and lacking basic empathy. When I asked questions about my discharge paperwork and requested to speak with a doctor before leaving, I was told that no doctor would come to speak with me. I was left confused about important aspects of my care and felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. As a patient, I believe I had a right to understand my treatment and discharge instructions. What disturbed me most was the apparent lack of compassion and professionalism shown during my stay. Mental health patients are often at their most vulnerable, and they deserve to be treated with… dignity, patience, and respect. In my experience, some staff members failed to meet those standards. The discharge process felt rushed, communication was poor, and I left feeling unheard and unsupported. I was shocked by what I perceived as unethical behavior, lack of accountability, and an overall disregard for patient concerns. I understand that healthcare professionals work in challenging environments, but that is not an excuse for treating patients with disrespect. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for compassionate, patient-centered mental health care.

Stay Away. Very bad.

Dr Airapetian is by far the worst practitioner I ever saw. I submitted formal complaints about her when she worked in Paramus. Do not go to this practitioner. This practitioner is creepy.

Dr. Karine Airapetian is a wonderful psychiatrist. She patiently listened to all of my concerns and was able to put my mind at ease immediately. It is obvious that she cares about her patients and is invested in their well-being. She is an incredibly experienced provider and I highly recommend her without hesitation.

Dr. Karine Airapetian (the main psychiatrist ) mocked me and Dr Airapetian tried to create more problems to boost revenue. Her and her staff are all the same including the security guard and the nurse assistant who was digging her shoes into the side of my leg after I asked for my belongings back. She threw them down and told me "don't bother looking it over...hurry up and leave" and I told her her too. I reported all of Dr Airapetian's staff to the state of NJ and they lost a big grant they were hoping for all because I told on them. Dr Airapetian speaks a Russian dialect which makes difficult to understand her speech. Even the young lady at the intake desk loudly refused to allow me to submit a complaint in writing but I did anyway and I told on her, too. I will never forgive those people for the way they abused me. I walked in because I had the ACA and no physicians in NJ accepted the ACA even though I was paying for Obamacare no NJ physician accepted the ACA. I reported Bergen… Regional and Dr. Karine Airapetian (the main psychiatrist ) to several NJ state commissions and the next thing I saw was Bergen Regional lost a big court case because they were guilty of systemically abusing so many patients for so long (it's always in the news ) and my formal complaint probably cost them an awful lot of money because they work for NJ State government but Bergen Regional is by far the most abusive of them all. When that young nursing assistant was digging her shoes into the side of my leg when I was sitting on the floor that is assault. They "stack" against the patient. "Stacking" means the medical staff just stack up negative information about you on their medical records to harm your reputation and to harm your future...that's one thing they will definitely do to you. I never felt so good to walk out and tell on them especially telling on Dr Airapetian and her staff. All she and her staff do is try to harm your reputation and lie as much as they possibly can because they're angry they're not paid enough and that too is well documented in the Bergen Record newspaper going back decades. She was yelling at me in a Russian dialect and I was the one who was depressed and I came in to see if they could treat me because as I already stated:No NJ physician accepts the Affordable Care Act in New Jersey. I will never stop naming and reporting all medical people who do that.

Unprofessional, entitled, discriminatory, unethical, narcissist

I went to the place she works. She immediately berated, insulted and mocked me. Doctor Airapetian is also, in my opinion, a bully. Stay away. Her partner doctor tried to bill me about $2,000 for the suffering put me through. I got up and left. I reported her (and some of her co-workers) to the proper authorities in writing and I did receive a response. She is the exact type of practitioner you should never go to. I will never forget how the first thing she did was shout at me with her security guards standing next to her. I also noticed that all the notes she wrote were false.

She demeans the patient. She interrupts the patient continuously. She stirs up anger. Stay away from this doctor.

Dr A is a great doctor. She will get you on the medication you need and is right to the point. I definitely recommend her.
