Dr. Karishma Bhatt, MD

We selected Dr Karishma Bhatt because she was local and in our insurance network as the original Dr referred by our GP was not in network. Waiting to get the consult delayed treatment another 1.5 days. When we finally arrived to our appt, she sat across from us seemingly very bothered and almost annoyed by our presence while simultaneously advising that this condition was - in her words “one of the worst conditions her patients could suffer”. She then proceeded to grab nasal tissues from a box off the counter to wipe “whatever this white cream is” (prescribed steroid cream) from the EXTREMELY SENSITIVE wound site causing additional pain to conduct her physical examination. God knows who or what has happened in this room before us. How sanitary could exposed nasal tissues be?? After a very brief physical exam, she returns to sitting across from us with almost contempt in her face saying she *could* get us on the surgical schedule for tomorrow morning while also advising that we are… getting close to being “outside the window for surgical treatment” (72 hrs). His only 2 choices for treatment are “maybe” getting on the surgical schedule for tomorrow morning and going through a 10 out of 10 on a pain scale surgery with 3-4 weeks painful recovery *****OR**** Waiting it out 1-2 weeks in a 10 out of 10 on a pain scale at home. He chose returning home and suffering the shorter timeframe because he has to return to work. She sent him home with only a prescription for a topical lidocaine as pain relief - for, *in her words* “one of the worst conditions her patients could suffer” while my husband sat crying in agony. Throughout the appointment, she stared blankly at us while reciting medical guidelines. She didn’t even ask him what he does for a living and if his current condition would impair his ability to perform his job. I would absolutely never recommend her. Her “bedside manner” leaves a lot to be desired. She comes across as very cold and uncaring.
