I appreciate how Dr. Karissa Boyd gave me her full attention at my appt., how she answered any questions I had and did everything she could to make me feel comfortable. Her bedside manner was professional and sensitive. I had surgery for a DCIS removal, had to have radiation and DNA testing, all of which she explained to me and helped me to adjust to this form of procedure. Her staff are very willing to help and very kind. I have called with questions and they have been friendly and helpful. If you have any kind of questions or concerns, don't wait, call the office right away and they will answer your questions and check on any apt. needed to be scheduled. Thank you.

My mother developed lymphoedema after her mastectomy. Miss Boyd kept telling my mother that she had contacted the lymphoedema clinic and was waiting for them to call back to get mom in. Over a month went by with mom suffering in pain before one of moms other nurses called to check on why it was taking so long. The lymphoedema clinic said Miss Boyd never called. If you have no treatment for the lymphoedema, it will get worse. It can be painful and over time can make it difficult to move your arm. My mom suffered for no reason at all. I don't know, maybe my mom was just too sick for her doctor to do anything to ease her suffering.
