Dr. Karl Robert Freydl, DO

One of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Dr. Freydl took the time to explain everything to me in great detail so that I could easily understand the issues with my spine. He also took the time to explain my treatment options so I understood exactly what to expect. Today I am pain free for the first time in years thanks to the treatment I received.

I was referred to this doctor for Pain Management by the Neurosurgeon at MHSI because he stated surgery would only make things worst for me so he thought it would be a better idea to continue pain management but with a doctor in his office. I have never left a doctors visit feeling so disrespected and in tears. He is very rude! I was hurt in a rear end car accident 10 months ago. He told me that I couldn’t possibly have been hurt because him and his wife both had been in rear end accidents and were perfectly fine. Despite the 2 MRI’s, Xray and EMG results, he told me that what he’s seeing couldn’t possibly be causing me pain and that all the doctors were telling me wrong. He said he doesn’t even understand why I was seen in the emergency room on the day of the accident. He proceeded to tell me that my pain was all made up in my mind and that it was something mental going on and not really there. I eventually had enough and told him that I was ending the visit and headed to check out.… Some of the office staff noticed how upset I was and asked what happened. When he saw them talking to me he started yelling and pointing telling me to get out of the office and that he’s calling the police to have me removed. I never raised my voice at him or anything. The ladies felt really bad and told me to schedule an appointment with the Neurosurgeon to let him know what happened and how I was treated and to see if there is another pain specialist that he can refer me to.

Very nice physician who actually took the time to listen to me and history of back issues. He cares about his patients and even returned my phone call when I had a question the next day.

Arrogant person who speaks down to the patient. He let me ask questions and then promptly responded as if my inquiries were a waste of his breath and moronic. I also questioned a couple of the procedures he was contemplating, to which he, more or less, told me I had no idea what I was talking about. Interesting, considering I am a veteran RN of 26 years. MHSI is a great company, but I would never go this pompous individual again.

Dr. Freydl is very easy going and knowledgeable. He took quite a bit of time carefully diagnosing my condition.

Dr. Freydl is a wonderful doctor. He is managing my pain with meds like all other doctors push at you. Also took his time out to find a great physical therapist in my area. Thank you Dr. Freydl!! Great taste in music too!! Which made the treatments more relaxing for me!! Again thanks!

A great doctor.

Although he seemed like a nice guy and seemed to know what he was talking about, he failed on my diagnosis, so I have to give him a "poor" rating. After a couple Epidural steroid injections that he gave me with no change, I suggested that we explore, piriformis syndrome. He was not open to this suggestion and instead, arrogantly continued to insist that his original diagnosis of a back problem was correct. I later got a neurographic MRI that pretty much confirmed piriformis syndrome, along with several other doctors. He needs to have a more open mind and more education in conditions that he obviously does not have knowledge of. Like many doctors, he has this aura of "I know everything, don't question my wisdom". He could be good (because he's obviously very intelligent) if he can ditch the fantasy that makes him a legend in his own mind.
