Dr. Karl Eugene Getzinger, MD

This Doctor shouldn't even be practicing. He is the reason my husband has to wear a bag. He told my husband he was bleeding due to the hemorrhoids. I finally said I think he should have a colonoscopy and Dr. Kolozsi found the cancer. Thank you Dr. Kolozsi for saving my husbands life.

YES VERY TO THE POINT WITH HIS CONVERSATION, BUT IM NOT THERE FOR A SOCIAL VISIT... NEVER A PROBLEM IN OVER 20 YEARS.. ALWAYS A PROFESSIONAL ITS A SHAME ONLY PEOPLE WHO HAVE AN ISSUE WRITE A COMMENT.. BUT IM SURE THERE ARE THOUSANDS WHO APPROVE OF HIM OR HE WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS... THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU BASE YOUR DECISION ON A FEW OPINIONS

Getzinger palpated abdominal region, found swelling, I asked if it was my gallbladder. "No, that's your liver. If it were you gall bladder, you'd be in BIG trouble!" he told me. Well, I'd had swelling in that area before that was gall bladder, so I went to another doctor who quickly sent me to a surgeon. The surgeon showed me the cat scan results and said he'd never seen a more swollen gall bladder and only one as big. I had surgery as quickly as it could be arranged.

Does not listen, seems to put his opinion above medical fact, very judgmental without knowing me. Got angry and called me a liar for providing evidence that went against his opinion.

Dr. Getzinger did not act in a professional manner during multiple appointments.

I tried calling for an appointment several times and only got a recording saying the business hours were from 8:30-4:30, then the phone would hang up. I called during the time his office was supposed to be open, never got anyone to answer. After reading the reviews, I think I am going to look elsewhere.

Direct to the point with no pretense of fake small talk

Dr Getzinger is not a people person. He does not care to listen to your issue. His bed side manner could use help. I have attempted to discuss multiple issues with him during my visits was actually told, " your not here for that" when it was not my main complaint. I have since moved on and would not recommend him.

It doesnt matter how long you wait to be seen. Once the doctor sees you, his arrogance shines through. A missed diagnosis and an attitude almost cost my brothers life.Dr. Getzinger said to me that my brother had a mental problem, not physical...and this man talked down to me.....turned out my brother has a disease like cancer. This doctor had his staff call us to apologize for him. Not once did he ever follow up with his patient, either. There are many other stories like this one about this dictor.

Dr. Getzinger has possibly the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever seen. He was direct, which I like in a medical professional, but used this as an excuse to talk over me, including any questions I had about my care, my medication or my condition. I cannot recommend this doctor.
