Dr. Karl John Hapcic, MD

I was referred to him at the last minute from Roswell NM. His visit with us was about 3 minutes and he didn't want to hear any comments or questions. He walked out and left. His nurse came in and tried to put a band aid on me without any gloves and her fingers touched the inside of the band aid. When asked if the doctor was coming back to answer questions, she said no he's gone for the day. Save your money, do not go to this man. He must have skipped the class on empathy and caring for your patients in medical school.

He's apparently ran from multiple states due to his incompetence. Why has he not been sued or lost license?

Dr. Hapcic performed a breast reduction and lift for me about 15 years ago in Elko, NV. Even today, when I have a breast exam or mammography, I am complimented on the results by the medical staff and I am over 60!

He should work as a butcher not a surgeon. I am now disfigured because of this guy and he promised to fix the problem on his dime and then up and moved, we'll by the looks of it that's what he does always on the move.

My first appointment had to be rescheduled the day of my surgery due to the staff ordering the wrong size implants. I was all ready for surgery and had to leave. I finally had my surgery and after my breasts healed my areolas are no longer round one looks like a pizza that has a slice taken out the other side is hacked up as well, on top of that one implant isn't in the right spot. Dr Hapcic promised to fix the problems free of charge, he kept telling me to come back in 6 months and he would schedule my surgery, well he ended up leaving the state without fixing what he screwed up. When I called him in his new location he was rude ignorant and basically said don't know what to tell you. I am so disappointed in this Dr that I honestly have major reservations to see any Dr.

Dr. Hapcic performed a breast augmentation and lipo for me. I was happy with the augmentation, however not so thrilled with the lipo. 3 days after the lipo, my stomach on the right began burning and concerned me. It also appeared lumpy and not like the other side in that it was quite puffy. I called to get in with the dr. and he didn't seem too concerned. He injected some steroids in the area to try to reduce the puffiness. It didn't help. Years later, the area is still puffy and doesn't seem to have the correct lipo done. I don't want to deal with the cost of having this corrected so I've just dealt with it. Maybe if it bothers me enough I may see another surgeon to see what they say.

I see some of the negative reviews posted for Dr. Karl Hapcic and I can not negate the claims but I can say that so far my own experience under his care has been a blessing. I went in for a consultation 2 months prior to actually deciding to have the breast augmentation done. Dr. Hapcic was very genuine and kind to both my husband and I. He was open to any and all questions we had and answered them with ease and when my husband and I didn't catch on to the "Doctor lingo" he broke it down for us in a way we would understand without hesitation or seeming frustrated. He made this visit that could have been extremely uncomfortable, a very comfortable one. A couple months later the decision had been made that a breast augmentation was the route I would go and we called and Sherry his receptionist set up the pre-op which was great. His receptionist Sherry was very friendly and went over the consent forms with me while my husband and children waited in the waiting room playing with the… available toys. As Dr. Hapcic and I visited during my pre-op he very openly listed his concerns with my medical history (though I'm healthy I have had a few issues in the past) and he gave me a list of things he was going to do differently in order to take the precautionary measures to ensure my safety. That in itself spoke volumes as to the care he has for his patients. The day of my surgery I showed up and was greeted by an amazing hospital staff. Shortly after Dr. Hapcic showed up and did the necessary markings needed for the procedure, visited and joked for a few before they took me back. After I was released we headed home and later that evening I received a personal phone call from Dr. Hapcic checking on me and making sure everything was ok and once again he answered the couple of questions I had, My post-op appointment was very quick and to the point but still a very personable experience up until the moment I walked out of the office to go home. I highly recommend Dr. Karl Hapcic, I did see posted on another review that after he received the money in full for the payment for the procedure he became rude but I can reassure you that we paid in full and that never changed his character towards my husband and I, he was still as genuine as he was the first time we met him.

I recently had a breast augmentation performed by Dr Hapcic. In my initial meeting with him, I was so impressed by his kindness and willingness to spend a lot of time talking with me and answering my questions. He also took time out of his schedule to meet with my husband and answer all of his questions. He did an amazing job with my surgery and I couldn't be more pleased. I would recommend him to anyone. His two receptionist were also a bonus in that they got me in right away and always called me right back with answers to my questions. My whole experience has been nothing but fantastic.

I went in for two consultations and was only charged for one. I felt very confident with Dr. Hapcic with the first consultation and even more with the second. The morning of surgery I was extremely nervous and scared as this was my first surgery ever. The team at Livingston Memorial are awesome, along with Dr. Hapcic. They all took a part in easing my nerves and where great with my husband. Dr. Hapcic is exteremly professional and has an amazing eye for giving the right size of breast to fit a persons body type. I appreciate the follow up calls and I am so happy with the results. I am smiling as I write this review.
