Dr. Karla Louise Birkholz, MD

Apathy. Burn out. Just another number. These are the words I would use to describe my "care" under this person that calls themselves a Doctor. If you care about your health then you should stay away from this person. This person should stop practicing in this profession. It is a disservice to people that are genuinely in need of care from a health care professional. This doctor is only caring about making money.

Should have written this long ago. My husband and I started going to Dr. B when she first started her practice here in AZ on Bell Rd (only her in the practice). This was in 1988 or 89'. We went to her for over 20 years. We quit going to her because we moved so far away from the practice on 67th Ave. Even though the practice is about an hour away from us now, I wish we would've kept her. We've been to several young female doctors since her and there is no comparison. She was warm and caring and LISTENED without you feeling rushed. No one comes close to how thorough she is when doing a physical. You always felt like Dr B was in this business because she truly wanted to help people and keep them healthy. We miss her so much..

Dr. Birkholz has been my doctor for 27 years. I trust her with my health.

I have been going to Karla Birkholz for 30 years and she brought my son into this world.She is a very understanding doctor.She always listen to every word you have to say.My husbund and I went to other doctors and always came back to her.We drive 50 miles to see her.wont ever go to another doctor.

Dr. Birkholz is truely a rare breed. She took the time to see the whole me, even addressed issues you wouldn't think doctors would care about. Ahe gave me advice on how personal events were effecting my health and how to deal with them. There office is somewhat new and they must have taking some advice from earlier reviews as they now have walkin service and I was promptly seen.

I've been seeing Dr. Birkholz for about 6 months now (three visits). I've had to wait a little longer sometimes, and have had trouble scheduling an appointment once (according to the staff she's booked) but my feelings were that she genuinely does care about the people she treats. Maybe it's just me. I'd say give her a chance and decide for yourself.
