Dr. Karla Stelling Schlimgen, MD

Dr. Schlimgen is a good doctor. She really knows her stuff. We really liked her at first because she took time out of her day to come into the hospital to visit our baby every morning and talked to us until we were discharged from the hospital. We don't see this happen very often, so it was very nice as first time parents. Once we started taking our baby in to see her more at the clinic, we started feeling like she's always in a hurry. She often carries a laptop with her, which is part of her job in taking notes and updating patient files. Sometimes this gets in the way of provider-client interactions. There have been times where we felt like she was not attentive due to typing all the time. We have left the clinic feeling like our concerns weren't really addressed. It's also really hard to get in touch with her outside of an appointment if we were to call in with any questions. We often have to talk to her nurse instead and sometimes the nurse's answers aren't very helpful at… all.
