Dr. Karladine Evelyn Graves, DO

I have gone to Dr. Graves for more than 20 years and have always found her to be caring and good to follow up with tests if she thinks they are necessary. I have only ever had a problem with billing.

Dr. Graves is a caring physician and gets to the bottom of any concerns. Is not afraid to send a patient for tests if she deems them necessary.

Dr. Karladine Graves is a dynamic physician, and very knowledgeable and has helped with diagnoses within my family.

Dr. Graves has been my doctor for the past 20 years. I've had medical issues that would have cost me my life, but she kept digging and figured out the problem(s). Her bed-side manner is beyond compare. I've lived all over the city. It takes me over an hour to get to her office now --- and she is worth EVERY minute. I wish every doctor was as thorough and patient as Dr. Graves.

Many years ago, upon return to Kansas City, I was searching for a new doctor. I wanted someone brilliant and aggressive. I had been to two doctors already and was becoming frustrated in my search. A friend I taught with suggested Dr. Graves. Dr Graves is professional, yet will sit beside you and explain medical technology so you can understand. She is aggressive, yet sensitive to her patients' needs and expectations. She is realistic and open minded. She is a great doctor.

She first lead me to believe she was a very caring doctor, then I found her to be a very judgmental person and didn't care about me at all. I highly question her ethics and ability to diagnose. I'd certainly NOT recommend her to anyone.

Proselytizing. Evangelism. Unnecessary Rectal Exam. No treatment for possible Lyme disease. Fat-shaming. Refused scheduling mammogram.

I started seeing Dr. Graves back in 2002 and believe she is a wonderful physician. I remember one of my first appointments with her was for a sore throat/sinus infection which she effectively treated. However during the appointment she told me she had a feeling I might have anxiety. This threw me for a loop because I never had any idea I had anxiety and as I found out I didn't even realize was anxiety really was.She gave me a survey to take and it indicated that yes, I did have anxiety. Because of Dr. Graves' caring, compassion, diagnostic and treatment skills I have been able to live a great life over the past 10 years without anxiety getting in the way. Another reason why I recommend Dr. Graves and her husband, Wayne, is because they run their office with Christian ethics and frame of mind. Their staff holds a Bible study every Thursday morning before office hours and they openly welcome their patient's joining them.

They are uncaring, not for the well being of the patience but for their office procedures instead. My daughter didn't have her "official" insurance card, but a copy of the card with all the information on it and after 45 minutes of filling out papers for her first visit, she was told she couldn't be seen because they had an office policy that they had to have the official insurance card. She had her drivers license and even after they were told the phone number to call and verify, which I'm sure was too much trouble for this place, they refused STILL to see her!!!!!! She took off work for this appointment and when she cried in the lobby, they STILL DIDN'T CARE!!! When she called to talk to the insurance processor after she got home, THEY STILL DIDN'T CARE!!! This place is out for money and procedures only, not the well being of it's patients. Please, there are hundreds over hundreds of other doctors to go see, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.

Karladine Graves is extremely analytical in her approach. She will take the time to listen, will call you out on any unhealthy habits, but most importantly has a great mind for finding the root cause of an issue. My manager recommended her to me after she correctly diagnosed her with cervical cancer. The first test came back negative, but Karladine disagreed and ordered a repeat. The second test came back positive - and possibly saved her life by finding it before it progressed further. Hearing this, I went to her to investigate some abnormal blood levels I received from a physical. Most all doctors were telling me it was my liver failing on me (a 25 year male that works out constantly and drinks alcohol next to never). She disagreed and ordered more tests - all of which came back normal. I did have problems with the tests -- but that's because the company that runs the labs actually lost them for a while. I don't blame Dr. Graves for another company's poor performance. When… all tests came back normal for my liver she sent me to a liver specialist and he agreed with her - nothing was wrong. It can be a bit costly to run all the tests she prescribes, but if you are looking for a thorough doctor - she's definitely going to find the issue. It is up to you though to keep track of the lab results and make sure they get back to her office. If you do your part of the work, she'll find what is wrong or find someone that can. I highly recommend her.
