Dr. Karmel Lynn Carothers, MD

Going every six months for medication renewal works well with this physician. She is pleasant and amenable. However, don’t expect care if you don’t know six months in advance of when you will be sick. I became very ill suddenly and when I called for an emergency appointment the receptionist searched six months away from the day I called and there were no appointments. Why have a doctor if you can’t see them when you’re sick? Too bad, she’s intelligent, kind and personable.

I have approximately 17 years personal experience being treated by Dr. Carothers. I first met her 3 years prior when she was treating my father. Many doctors don't want to treat elderly patients but she was particularly patient and caring when treating my father. When I returned to live in the area, she was my first choice to take over my care. It was the right decision. She is knowledgeable, patient and really gets to know her patients.

Dr. Carothers was a wonderful experience for me. She spent time with me, listened to my comments and concerns and then followed up with me on my issues. I would recommend her highly if you are looking for a provider.

Dr was pleasant but after a disease diagnosis..which she had the nurse call and tell me..only help was a RX. Was never asked if I had questions. Requested a referral to gastro Dr and had to ask a second time. When I made first appt was told it would be a 3-month wait, then just before appt date office called and said there was a scheduling conflict and would be a couple of more months before could get an appt.

If you are looking for a doctor that is easy to talk to, compassionate, and will take the time to help you with your medical needs, then Dr. Carothers is the doctor to see
