Dr. Gendo received his medical degree in 1995 at UC Davis. He completed his pediatric/adult allergy immunology and internal medicine training and board certification at the University of Washington, where he served as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine. He has worked as an attending physician at the Emergency Trauma Center at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, hospitalist and clinical services chief at Group Health Cooperative, and as staff physician at Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, American College of Physicians, and the Society of Hospital Medicine. He grew up in Sonoma County and has returned from the Northwest to join the Allergy and Asthma Group of the Bay Area. Dr Gendo's special interests are in enhancing chronic condition management and the Patient-Centered Medical Home. His outside interests are in classical and jazz piano.

Dr. Gendo was knowledgeable and up to date on the latest recommendations for immunotherapy. He did not push treatment but gave me all the facts and statistics.

I have seen Dr. Gendo for the past 10 yrs. He easily diagnosed what was going on with me regarding the constant unproductive coughing. He has maintained thorough follow up measures and offers warm and friendly medical advice. However, I would like to see the staff follow through with requests for lab results. Aside from that, the staff is helpful, friendly and capable as I go through the office breathing tests.

Dr. Gendo is such an awesome doctor! I agree with what others said about the time he spends with his patients. He always asks if you have any questions. He listens and shares loads of information with me and I'm sure others too about research and what it reveals. Such a smart doctor! Dr. Gendo is very gentle and shows genuine interest in his patients and what's best for their health. He is SUPER punctual too! Definitely an A+ doctor I no doubt would recommend for anyone with allergy/asthma issues.

He was the most thorough doctor I have very been to. He ordered a lot of testing but he did find out what was wrong. Would definitely recommend him. He doesn't have much personality but was very kind and gentle. He spent a lot of time explaining the issue.

Dr. Karna Gendo is a very caring doctor who has great knowledge and helped me with my sudden onset of hives. I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering from allergies.
