Dr. Karyn Hope Karlin, MD

Do not go see this so called doctor!!! You will waste your time and $!! My wife waited 6 months to see this animal to be ignored and interrupted everytime she spoke!! It says she has 36yrs of experience what a joke!! She did a DUI exam on my wife thats it!! Very rude and clueless to what profession she's in!! Had the nerve to say my wife was the problem when she clearly was the whole problem!! The true definition of a KAREN!! WARNING STAY AWAY!! She should get her license revoked!! Shame on Endeavor Health for hiring such a heartless person!! Your better off going to a veterinarian!!! Dogs get better treatment!!!!

You are not a real doctor!!! A REAL LIFE KAREN!!! I feel sorry for any patience that we're reffered to this so call doctor!! Shame on ENDEAVOR HEALTH for hiring a animal like this!! My vet treats my pets better than she treats humans!!!

Angry, condescending and verbally abusive. That is not an exaggeration. The way she speaks to you is playbook verbal abuse. I have a fairly high confidence level, so knowing this type of person can ruin your ability to get future care, I sucked it up. I am pretty high up in a company as a VP and this women would be shown the door very quickly for her toxic and unprofessional behavior. It doesn't matter how smart or good you are at your field. She obviously has a very poor opinion of patients and their intellect. Unfortunately I have seen it before in the medical field. But it reflects very poorly on administration to let people like this continue working. It ruins the faith in doctors and the good doctors that have humanity and humility. I realize patients could be frustrating. But that is the job. If you don't realize you have the power in the power dynamic and many patients are already not feeling well and are vulnerable, then you shouldn't be in the field.

Very rushed, rude, loud, and insensitive. Quick to diagnose and label you. Doesn’t listen very well. When she asks you a question you feel pressured and rushed to answer and if you answer she tries to confuse you by twisting your words around.

As someone who frequently takes orders and views Karlin's bedside manner I am embarrassed. When you are dealing with someone who has had a neurological event such as a stroke you'd think she could take the time to be patient and explain her reasoning where the family and or patient could understand. She is the opposite. She treats everyone as if they are beneath her. If you question an order she gets angry. She often double orders many unnecessary tests over and over incurring cost to the patient and wasting time. She is an overall terrible neurologist and person to deal with.

My daughter was recently admitted after having collapsed. Via phone we talked to the Dr & she was extremely rude, cutting me off as I was trying to talk to her. She said a few times she was extremely busy & needed to catch up. Never have I ran into a Dr that has no regard for patients nor their loved ones.

HORRiBLE! BE AWARE! She discharged me from Centegra Hospital and said I wasn’t having a relapse. Later that week I was admitted to Central DuPage where I was given a 5 day IV steroid treatment. Dr. Karlin is extremely demeaning, sarcastic, and doesn’t listen to the patient. She should NOT be in practice.

I feel sorry for Dr.Karlin. She has worked her whole life to be what she believes a good nuerologist.The real problem is she has no ability to listen,empathize or even look at you as a real human being.She has no bedside manner.She needs to go back to school to learn she is treating human beings. She is very angry.

This doctor is quick to give out anti depressants. I came in for migrane and left with over 6 different types of medication to take with 2 being anti depressants. Never went back after the concoction she gave me. The meds made me feel like a zombie. I rather have the migraines and still be sane than to be in bed like a zoombie.

I was sent to see Dr. Karlin by the Department of Labor as I have a pending worker's comp claim with them. I have severe fibromyalgia which has been diagnosed by 3 other doctors. Dr. Karlin sent in her report stating there is nothing wrong with me and that I am able to work. She did some type of nerve test, but did not perform the 18 point fibromyalgia exam. She asked me to remove my sock in which I had quite a bit of trouble doing and almost fell off the table. So for her to say there is nothing wrong with me is inaccurate. I wish there were nothing wrong with me. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone. When I tried to explain work conditions which caused my condition she dismissed me saying she had already read the report that the Department of Labor had sent to her.
