Dr. Katalin B Eckstein, PhD

My review and experience: Katalin Eckstein and her partner Diane Van Ness allowed no due process and no court dates, as virtually all Dr. Eckstein's information was filed by Diane Van Ness as non-evidentiary status conferences, meaning I was never once allowed to defend what they said, nor could my attorney or I show evidence or witnesses. Dr. Eckstein testified against a mother she never knew, BY PHONE, as non-evidentiary. Her claims were shocking, as she had virtually no contact with my child's treating doctor nor anyone of the 2 1/2 pages of witnesses she and Diane Van Ness were given. She claimed she was a forensic psychologist, but no forensic psychologist would do this without investigating. Diane Van Ness was known for filing false reports of child abuse, and it was the father who was hitting and placing my son in choke holds for an illness he couldn't help, and I tried in good faith to get my son that help. The father paid Dr. Eckstein's partner $20,000, it was found, and the… gaslighted narratives began by Dr. Eckstein and Diane Van Ness. My own family was not even allowed to give evidence to this duo. There was no child abuse by the mother, me, and 4 doctors' testings said I was honest, loving, nurturing, and had no pathology. My heart breaks regularly in grief for my son, who finally took his life from the pain and trauma, confusion and gaslit stories he was endlessly fed but he stated he knew were not true. "Mamala, their stories don't make sense. Mamala, they tell me what to say." I knew to stay neutral but I loved him through Eckstein's treatment. Eckstein's partner made me pay her off to get my children back. Illegal of her. I got my children back that day. And renourished their life with love, not choke holds. I will mourn my beloved son for the rest of my life. No matter how many years. Especially this week which is Passover week. Eckstein is not a forensic psychologist. And she had little to no insight into my son's case or condition, nor his father's domestic violence. Her and Diane's cases together were called "sick" by other professionals who were unfortunate to use them, there were only 5 cases, and as a loving mother with a high emotional IQ, I do not recommend Dr. Katalin Eckstein or Diane Van Ness. Go where they are experienced, and where you will be allowed DUE PROCESS, as you are constitutionally protected by law to have.

My Review is as follows. I am having a bad grief day over my beloved deceased son whom Dr. Eckstein treated for child abuse that never happened by me. She never contacted his prior doctor for continuation of care information, nor one person on the 2 1/2 page list of names of people who actually knew him and his disorder. Her only contact was his father, out of jail for domestic violence, who hit my son his entire life for his behaviors he could not help without treatment, and placing him in choke holds until he was 21, worse, in front of his brother, equally traumatized by witnessing his domestic violence. Blaming it on a disorder that FOUR different doctors insisted I do not have, rather than helping my beautiful son. Dr. Eckstein is the perfect example of why 75 percent of domestic violence abusers get custody of the children. My son wrote the most beautiful song he called "Freedom," the day he came back home to me after he was gaslighted, and after she insisted I wasn't paying her… or her guardian ad litem partner for his treatment, both of whom I paid religiously. He came home the day after she claimed non-payment and both my sons were thrilled to be free of this inexperienced doctor. But while I raised him with with love, his father raised him with choke holds and low emotional IQ which Dr. Eckstein didn't believe and never reported. I called my son "mi tesoro" until the day he died, and he called me his "healing soul" until the day he died. He had a loving family and she never reported any of this. We were not the only family she and her guardian ad litem partner treated like this, as she had no experience. My sons begged to come home. My younger son wrote me letters and buried them in the back yard so his father wouldn't beat him over them like he beat his brother. Treating my beloved sons with gaslighted stories is all Dr. Eckstein did. The day they came home was the day they experienced maternal love again, neutrality, no gaslighting stories, no confusing treatment for things that never happened. Why write this now? Because my beloved son couldn't stand the pain anymore, nor the father's choke holds, for his epilepsy nor his early onset schizophrenia. I will love and miss him forever. I tried my best to help him. I don't recommend Dr. Eckstein. I continue to try to forgive her.
