Came to the hospital for a issue of pain doctor refused to give X-ray I told her I had been assaulted by an officer she seemed very uninterested about my chief complaint and simply "looked" at me didn't do a thorough exam. She seemed more concerned with whether I was waiting in the hospital for a bus ride it was about 4am in the morning the bus doesn't run until 6am. She didn't have much empathy and seemed cold, she seemed like she enjoyed denying me services after I continuously asked for a full body review for a court hearing I even asked her to document my body for bruises she seemed like she was personally uninterested. I asked her if it would hurt her or the hospital if I got an X-ray, and she said "you don't have insurance" so I guess it's a classism thing that I don't have insurance I just relocated from Baltimore Im in transition with a moldy apt hadn't been able to find work with continuous skin outbreaks. I explained I only had one opportunity to come to the hospital to seek… treatment and spent my last to get a ride. She seemed like she didn't care and wanted me out of the hospital I guess I wasn't the right color,esthetic, or socioeconomic class for quality treatment. I explained the patient rights I read on the website and everything she still remained unmoved. On another note the staff was extremely nice especially the Jewish nurse that explained she went through the Holocaust.. and the security guard upfront was kind. The waiting room was empty but how the doctor treated me needs to be studied. And God is always watching I'm not going to let anyone treat me bad because I'm different.Black women are Goddesses if you didnt know treat the queens with respect at all times! I can't control my health issues but we can control how we love and care for one another. Treating people bad when they are vulnerable is evil
