Dr. Kate Stuart Wheeler, MD

Dr. Wheeler is attentive and responsive. She engendered confidence and trust during my first appointment. She followed up with prompt messages on the patient portal. I'm pleased to have her as my doctor.

Dr Wheeler has great bedside manner and is very compassionate. She is a great doctor and always answers messages promptly.

Kate Wheeler is a great doctor however waiting to schedule an appt and waiting 20 minutes is not exceptable.

Great doctor, extremely knowledgeable.

The only complaint is how long it takes to get in to see Dr. Wheeler. My first visit took 5 months but she is well worth the wait.

To the point; the male receptionist is extremely rude, arrogant and I strongly suspect revengeful. The remaining staff, which I assume reports to Dr. Wheeler, is beyond incompetent. I made three attempts to get a prior authorization for a medication that addresses one of the consequences of a pituitary tumor. It is impossible to speak to a human. If you do they transfer you to another recording, identical to the last. In my frustration I decided to drive to Atlanta (41 miles one way), knowing that this problem would be simple to resolve. NOT! I was told by the man I described initially that everyone was too busy and the staff initially handles all of the doctor's patient "issues". If I choose to I could leave the doctor a note. I did that and included the notification from the insurance company explaining the denial. So, eighty some miles, 6 bucks to park and three hours out of my life, which is valuable for those of us considered Seniors". For what? Try NO contact… for three days. Maybe my note got lost?

Very nice doctor answered all questions, once exam is over she's gone....so get your questions in first! Sometimes so booked you have to see her PA who is also nice. Another Assistant Doug calls back with detailed replies when you leave a viice mail message.

Dr. Kate is a Blessing, our Medical Angel...she came so highly recommended though it took three months because she was booked! She was truly worth the wait. LaShunda (thank you) at the front told me to keep checking back and as soon as a cancelation appeared ...we became her patient. Dr. Kate is sincere, has great follow through and so does her strong team working with her, especially Jerome! Her right hand when she is not available. If you need to speak to her directly, she will make the time to do so as busy and in demand as she is. ..What a person first, what a doctor. A person of ethics, respect, one who cares and a healer. Dr.Wheeler answers your questions and dont make you feel rushed and unimportant. Doc is so detailed and knoweledgeable in her calling. Most of all she LOVES people and enjoys what she does. The entire staff is very professional and courteous . For us- it can determine if you have a lasting relationship at an office. Laureate has strong policies and… believes in customer service in the office or on the phone. All messages are returned in a timely manner, scripts are processed if needed and questions are answered. We are so blessed to be her patient and for providing mom with a better quality of life and finally a better understanding as a Diabetic. Thank you and see you soon.

I am into my 2nd year with Dr. Wheeler. Others passed me off as just getting older,. Dr. Wheeler not so, the culprit a pesky pit. gland tumor. I know more about my body than I ever thought possible, truly a healer and an educator. I did what she said and I am happy to be off medication for now and leaning on her supervision of diet, exercise and supps. Get on wait list if appts are booked, she is well worth the effort. First Dr. I ever really liked and love, she saved my life, very compassionate. And hats off to her nurse Jerome, simply the best!

I am a 29 year old female that has been experiencing mulitiple endocrine problems for over 10 years now. I have seen an array of doctors from local home town kind of doctors all the way to doctors from Emory healthcare. I will gladly tell you that Dr. Wheeler is a true gem!! She has an outstanding bed side manner. She will not rush through your problems. I came in with a 3 ring binder full of all my medical records over the past 10 years and I do believe that made it easier for her and I both. She is a very knowledgeable doctor and her staff is awesome!! The office has the new touchscreen clipboard registration which is great and very easy to do. You just follow the instructions on the clipboard. I can go on and on about my experience. Also after I checked out the receptionist gave me a print out of everyhting discussed at the appt.
