Dr. Katelyn Petitfils Joubert

I contacted Dr. Katelyn Joubert in an emergency after developing a huge stye right before traveling out of town for a wedding where I was going to see many people I hadn’t seen in years. I was originally told over the phone that it probably would not be removed at the appointment, so I was really stressed and worried. Actually, I contacted many doctors who wouldn’t help me on such short notice. When I arrived, I explained my situation to her assistant, who told me, “The doctor is a kind person and wouldn’t want you going to a wedding like this. She will probably take care of it for you.” That immediately put me at ease. When the doctor came in, she was exactly as described — warm, friendly, professional, but also genuinely caring and easy to talk to. She thoroughly removed the stye and gave me detailed instructions on how to help it calm down before the wedding two days later. Sure enough, by Saturday night the swelling was almost completely gone, and I didn’t feel embarrassed or… self-conscious at all. I truly give her credit for that. The procedure was also much less painful than I expected, which I know came down to her expertise and experience. The quick healing and reduction in swelling really speak to how well she performed the procedure. I feel very lucky to have found her, and I will absolutely be returning to her for any future eye care needs. I cannot thank her enough.
