Dr. Kateryna Nahornyak, OD

Dr. Kateryna Nahornyak, OD, is a board-certified optometrist and an ocular wellness advocate who brings community-rooted care to Long Island. A Bellmore native, she specializes in comprehensive medical eye care with a focus on clear communication and evidence-based vision stewardship. Dr. Nahornyak blends clinical precision with a compassionate bedside manner, helping patients navigate both routine eye health and complex ocular conditions.

Trained at SUNY College of Optometry after earning a Health Science degree with a concentration in Environmental Health and Safety from Stony Brook University, Dr. Nahornyak completed clinical rotations at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and the Northport VA. With seven years in ophthalmology and a personal journey from ophthalmic technician (joining LIOC in 2021) to practicing optometrist, she pairs hands-on experience with advanced clinical training.
