Dr. Katharine Barrett- Avendano, DO

I love Dr. Avendano! She's always there for me, her staff is supportive and kind, and I have complete confidence in her expertise, professionalism, and her direct and honest conversations which reveal that she really cares about me as a person, as well as a patient. There was an easily-established connection from the beginning. Dr. Avendano is my doctor, but also my health confidant. When she says she's a holistic doctor, she is telling the truth. She understands that health doesn't stop at the clinic, the hospital, or the phone call in the middle of the night. Besides being technically expert and amazingly knowledgeable at what she does, Dr. Avendano takes care of me as if I'm her only patient.

I was very specific that I was in for an annual exam. The doc spent over an hour talking about everything imaginable, then also billed me for it. They refused to discuss and follow-up after. No choice but to pay a large doctor bill. Very disappointed.

I have been patient with Doctor Avendano since 2006 and she is a very good doctor who has experiance and accuracy in diagnosing the problems (Example: Any Hormonal problems etc) . She also gives tips on diet etc to keep us healthy.

I have been a patient of Dr. Avendano's for several years, including 2 pregnancies and 1 miscarriage. Dr. Avendano is extremely thorough--she spends quality time with me during each appointment to discuss my health. I have NEVER worked with a doctor who is as intentional and who provides such personal care. I also appreciate her nurse, Karen, and the other staff members who treat me like I am the most important patient when I'm there. It is easy to schedule an appointment, and I have called Dr. Avendano on several occasions due to health concerns. She promptly calls me back and shows genuine attention to my concerns. She is THE doctor in Bellevue for women!

Dr.Avendano is amazing! I had two complicated pregnancies and she was a caring, informative and thoughtful Physician. She is not afraid to mix Western and Alternative therapies and strives to do what's best for her patients...even if that means telling them to take part in their own care. She is honest and that is a hard trait to come by these days! Karen her LPN is kind and always willing to help you, she always returns my calls and emails promptly and happily. I am thankful I found this clinic!

There simply aren't adjectives to describe the quality of care I've received from Dr. Avendano and her staff. Though she's busy, they've managed to get me an appointment when needed. Pauline at the front desk is warm and friendly, always welcoming even when the phone is ringing off the hook. The nurse, Karen, is one of the sweetest people ever and she is gentle, professional and pleasant all the time. She's quick to return phone calls about test results and is great about answering questions. The doctor is truly phenomenal - she is extremely smart and works hard to stay current on advances in her field. She never hesitates to be frank but is gentle and has an excellent bedside manner. She's clearly kept very busy with her patients, but never seems to rush through an appointment, and she takes time to answer all my questions intelligently. I feel very fortunate to have been referred to her several years ago now.

Dr. Katherine Barette Avendano is a very good doctor. She takes time to listen and is very knowledgeable with her work.Her staff is extremely friendly and cooperative.They all are doing a great job.I would definitely recommend her to my friends.

Dr Avendano is a wonderful, caring and compassionate physician. Her small office is comfortable and her staff is very professional. I have been very pleased with her care and recommend her highly.

As Dr Avendano's patient I felt well taken care of. She always gave me great advice and I appreciate how she took time to explain clearly to me every decision and step during my pregnancy.Due to my advanced age, my pregnancy presented some complications. Dr Avendano worked with me, encouraging me to eat healthier and exercise daily to improve the wellness of me and my baby. I have to say that by following her advice, I am definitely healthier now than before I went to see her.The day of my delivery presented some last minute difficulties, but every key decision and action was gotten right by Dr Avendano. I only have words of gratitude towards her, at almost 42 years old, she helped me achieve my dream of becoming a mother. At the beginning of May, my husband and I welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world and we couldn't be happier!!!

I have been to see Dr Barrett - Avendano on a number of occassions over the last year. Every visit she spent a generous amount of time with me. She took the time to talk me thru the details of my proceedure and it went exactly as she said it would. I am completely rid of all the pain. I appreciated how she focus not just on my Gynecological issues, but she also helped me work on my overall health.
