Dr. Katharine Julia Leppard, MD

I was referred to Dr Leppard a while back & was impressed with her knowledge & expertise. She was very thorough with all her testing & explained to me exactly what the tests were for and what it showed as far as getting my carpal tunnel evaluated. I had no idea I had it in both hands! The most unsatisfactory medical visit I have ever had. Following the test she exhibited no interest in hearing any questions I had. She completely ignored my symptoms relying instead on EMG equipment far less sophisticated than that of any other specialists I have seen. She told me brusquely my documents could be collected on my departure and rushed from the exam room with nary another word. I shall seek a second test and opinion.

Dr. Leppard provided me with all of the information concerning my condition and treated me with respect and empathy. She was very thorough in reviewing my medical records and providing me with the information to move forward.

I had an EMG by Dr. Leppard. She showed no empathy at all. She told me my nerve compression is "mild" and that it does not explain my nerve pain. What?? I assure you if any nerve is compressed it is going to be painful. I did not make up my pain. I am on zero pain meds and have asked for nothing but a reason for the pain I am in. She was belittling and flippant. Would not recommend.

I have been going to Dr. Leppard for 15+ years and she has never led me wrong. She gives me the time and meds. that I need when I need them. When my husband passed away (he used to go to her too), she called me personally and immediately to express her condolences. I hope I die before her because I don't want to have to find another doc.

I am quite impressed with the explanation of the EMG and that I was permitted to look at the screen on the machine used for the testing. I think Dr. Leppard is the best at the EMGs and I've had many of this same test. An EMG Is "unnerving" unless the doctor is kind and compassionate without sacrificing professionalism like Dr. Leppard.

What she "claims", to be able to treat, I compare it to what Windows 98 claimed it would do for the consumer. Just press CTRL+ATL+DEL, and reboot, and look for someone else. You'll have a better chance of finding someone on QVC.

Dr. Leppard's claim on her website is that she can help you find the source of your pain when others have failed. She did NOT help me one bit, and she told me that there is nothing she could do for me. My visit to her comes after I've had numerous failed injections from two other doctors. Once she learned that I had no nerve pain, could not have any more injections, and didn't need surgery, she was done with me. I'm not a "money maker" sort of patient. I went to her as a LAST resort because of the info on her site. Waste of money and time. Unless, you have WORK that needs to be done, don't bother going there.

After months of a painful back that prevented sleep, made walking difficult, and confounded other medical professionals, Dr. Leppard found a tiny abnormal area on an MRI. She arranged for surgery by a top Neurosurgeon. The result was a life given back to me.

Dr Leppard did an EMG nerve test for me, she diagnosed a nerve injury that another physician had missed. Her EMG test was much less painful than the other physician's and her bedside manner was excellent.
