Dr. Katharine V Morrison, MD

I went to Katharine Morrison when I had to get a D&E during an abusive situation. She was rude and belittled me over my heart condition when going over my medical history, and her attitude only got worse when I explained that I had two cesareans because of my heart condition. She was questioning my cardiologist and tried to tell me she doesn't agree with the diagnosis I've had since middle school. I informed her I am a SA survivor and that I'm sensitive and even routine exams are difficult for me. She went to put the lidocaine needle in my cervix and I started crying and she yelled at me to stop crying and that I didn't stop she wouldn't do my procedure. This only upset me more so when I cried again she pulled back, threw her gloves off said she wouldn't perform my procedure and left the room. I walked out crying and when I got home I saw that I was covered in blood down to my feet and called the line to ask them about it and they had her call me back, and she was just as rude and… degrading on the phone afterwards telling me she didn't do anything to me.

I’d hired licensed midwives in Wisconsin during my second pregnancy, and when I asked them about who their back-up doctor was, they said they had a “consulting” OB who provided their meds and signed off on their births. It seemed off. The midwives were hesitant to tell me who this “back up” OB was, or how I could meet with the doctor if I needed extra care. They talked about how their OB has a birth center and an abortion center under one roof, so I looked and found Dr Morrison in the news and figured out this was my midwive’s backup OB. And when I found out the back-up OB didn’t even live in Wisconsin, but in New York !!!???, I decided to find new midwives. Shady.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for 5 years, but, you know, I had a kid! Katharine is the most intelligent, experienced, caring, supportive, no-nonsense doctor you will find. She goes above and beyond with her patients, treating them as she would her own family. She recognizes that this is *your* birth on *your* terms (as much as these things can be). With Katharine, you are in the best hands possible. The Birthing Center of Buffalo is a beautiful environment for childbirth. After having my baby there, I couldn’t possibly imagine giving birth in a hospital. It was the next best thing to giving birth in the comfort of my own home. The birthing suites are relaxing and comfortable and look like a bedroom. Plus they have birthing tubs. Post-birth, Katharine was always available by cell for all the questions and concerns of a newly minted mom. She also took me on as her permanent OB-GYN patient. Score! I could not recommend her highly enough.

I went to Dr. Morrison for an annual and to discuss different birth control options. Dr. Morrison was honestly the first OB/Gyn to ever take my concerns seriously and to fully discuss my option and what was the right plan for me. I cannot express how comfortable she made me feel. She genuinely took the time to discuss problems I was experiencing and clear up any potential problems and also gave me her undivided attention to discuss contraception and what may be right for me.

I had the best natural Birthing Experience. My appointments very done in a timely manner. During the birth I felt cared for and had a beautiful healthy baby girl.

The pure lack of ACCOUNTABILITY shown by this “care” provider is disturbing, and I would never recommend anyone else to come to this unsafe place. They do not listen to women experiencing pain or fear. They will continuously dismiss your concerns and force you to do what they think is right. The amount of damage this type of “care” can cause has been proven. Kali Ra was taken from his parents because of the “care” YOU failed to provide. This betrayal and attempt at rug sweeping NEEDS to be brought to light. THIS WILL NOT SHOULD NOT JUST BE FORGOTTEN! KALI RA ?? KALI RA!!!!!

Dr. Katharine Morrison lets babies' heart rates decelerate for hours to undetectable before recommending a c-section because c-sections aren't as natural as death. Very considerate of her!! She understands that women who end up getting epidurals are failures, and that's why she walks out on them. I'm sure all her patients are very thankful she upholds her ideals of birth above the health and safety of women and children. It really makes them willing to overlook the botched abortions leading to hysterectomies, the lies, doctored medical records and the lifetimes of pain she's caused!

This "Dr." should have her license YANKED! She is in the middle of SEVERAL LAWSUITS..some that Babies have DIED! DO NOT RISK YOUR OR YOUR BABY'S LIFE going here!

There are too many unanswered questions surrounding this provider for me to ever trust receiving care. I have read and listened to first hand accounts of the most heartbreaking mistreatment of women and families. These brave but hurt/traumatized victims deserve justice.
