Katharine Munn, D.D.S.
Dr. Katharine Munn was born and raised in Newfoundland, Canada. She received her undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from The University Of Western Ontario and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University in 1989. She completed her residency in Periodontics at the University of Washington in 1992.
Following the successful completion of her degree, Dr. Munn returned to Canada and established a private practice in Periodontics in Newfoundland. In 2000 she and her family relocated to Massachusetts. She then purchased an established Periodontial practice. She continually takes courses on the latest technological advances in Periodontics and Implantology to stay at the forefront of her field.
Dr. Munn is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, The American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Association. She is a board member of the local Dental Hygiene school committee.
Dr. Munnâ€™s husband, Dr. Philip Cabrera, is an …Endodontist and practices with her. They have 2 children. Her other interests include spending time with her family, hiking, skiing, camping and participating in Triathlons.

This review is regarding deceptive billing practices. I had a dental implant in 2020 and was satisfied with it. Dr. Munn requested that I return in one year so that she could check it. After paying thousands of dollars for the implant, I did not expect an additional charge. (I do not have dental insurance.) When I left the office, I asked if I needed to check out at the desk and I was told that I was "all set". Imagine my surprise when I received a bill for $230.00 a few days later. When I called the office, I was told that there is a charge for the one year checkup. However, no one had ever mentioned it previously. The bill was reduced by 20%, but it is still almost $200.00. I would not return to this office.

Dr. Munn and her team are incredibly professional and courteous. No one really likes to go to the dentist but they make the experience calming and relaxing. I'm grateful for the excellent work they did for me and would recommend them anytime.

My brother and sister in law both saw Dr Munn for implants. They raved about her and so I followed for two implants. I am very pleased with her professionalism and personal care. I saw a Periodontist in Worcester for a graft who claimed to be the premier guy in this specialty- fees were outrageous and he said I asked too many questions! Thrilled with Dr Munn office and highly recommend her to anyone.

I was referred to someone else but got in touch with Dr Munn by a friend who was elated by the care she received. I am thrilled to have her as my periodontist. She placed 4 implants that were absolutely painless and a lot less costly the doctor I was supposed to see. My dentist was so impressed by the results of her work that he is now referring his cases to Dr Munn. She is awesome.
