Dr. Katherine S Buki, MD

Horrible physician. Rude to my elderly Mother and my family. Would never go back. Terrible communication skills and condescending.

She spends the time with me to answer all my questions. She is courteous every time I have a appointment.

My experience with Dr. Buki is excellent. She has been my doctor for about 5 years, and has always taken the time to answer my questions, and provide me with suggestions when I am having an issue with my Bi-Pap machine or accessories. She is extremely empathetic and personable, and I highly recommend her as a physician.

It is very difficult to get an appointment with this doctor. You have to be referred by your physician. It is often a very long wait for the initial appointment. That being said, she is thorough but can be abrupt in her bedside manner. My wife thinks that it is just because she cares and sleep apnea patients are not always compliant. I liked her but think that she could be a bit nicer. Especially if you don't have a good relation with your CPAP Machine!

I have been seeing her for over a year and it has simply wasted my time. She doesn't explain things in lamens terms she speaks 99% in medical terminology so you have no clue what she is talking about. I just assumed and hoped she knew and would treat me appropriately. When you ask her a question she comes back with more med terms. So you leave with no idea or very little on how you will be treated. After being treated very poorly by her with rudeness I decided to bring a friend who has worked in the med field for over 35 years and she was appalled by her rudeness and her terminology and it's usage stating she made no sense. Not to mention she was closed minded to any resolution that she did not discover thus behaving in a tantrum type behavior which she seemed offended. Therefore she would reject any suggestions by responding with more med term garble that made no sense. Do not assume she knows what she is talking about when she uses all those big words...lol, because she doesn't.Avoid… K. Buki like the plague because she is not looking out for your best interest and she doesn't listen to your complaints and her notes are worse by not mentioning them.Find a pulmonologist that works with you not against you like Buki.
