Dr. Katherine N Burrows, DO

Dr Burrows is one of the best doctors me and my daughters have ever seen. During a sudden inpatient stay, she was there as soon as she could be, sitting on my hospital bed, talking to me about what was going on. She always listened to my concerns and was open to trying more than just one treatment plans, if I was comfortable with that. She handled my daughters cares wonderfully as well. She found a tiny hole in one of my daughters hearts, that no one had been able to detect prior. I would recommend her to any and all my friends and family.

This woman is a nutter. I had to take my son to see her when our primary pediatrician was out. BOTH times she gave terrible advice and care. First time we took him in because of an allergic reaction to amoxicillin that he was put on for a double ear infection. And by this time it had cleared up and he only had like 2 or 3 days left in these antibiotics. She decided to put him on cephdanir even tho his ear infection was gone. I'm thinking it's not necessary but she's a doc and knows what she's doing, right? Well he had another allergic reaction the day after his first 2 doses, had to rush him to urgent care. This last time around, we took our boy in for a suspected UTI, he had blood in his urine, higher temp, constantly crying and grabbing his parts. She tells me he's probably crabby and crying because he's teething. And that he probably caused trauma to himself while self exploring. So she take a urine sample ''to be safe". Calls us later to say they found bacteria but that it's not… conclusive because it wasn't "a sterile sample" (yeah, seriously, what??!!) and tells me to monitor and wait. Again my gut is telling me this isn't right but she's a doc and given his history with antibiotics I'm hoping she's right. Ok so fast forward two days later(yeah, 2 days with a suspected uti in a 14 month old) and he isnt sleeping, not eating much, temp still high, constantly crying, I can't calm him down, I call her and she tells me the same thing, "he's probably teething", she keeps fricking telling me this and im telling her how this is isn't normal, "let's just monitor and wait another day". Later that night he wakes up screaming, starts throwing up and running a fever. She finally puts in a script for the antibiotics. "It's probably a UTI" is what she says. I was so livid. I should have listened to my gut. This woman talked down to me the entire time, like I was a crazy mom that doesn't know my own child and in the end I was right and I should have taken him somewhere else. Do not see this woman for pediatric care.

Dr. Burrows is extremely thorough, polite & attentive to my needs. I understand how busy she is, but she always follows up after visit & I appreciate that. I came to her in an emergency situation and stayed.

Withheld info about an important scan.. Doesn't follow up with patients.. Throws pills at you like it's Mardi Gras!!

Pushy with unnecessary tests. Rude and snippy. Misread important imaging document.

My first visit to Dr. Burrows was on a Saturday urgent care in Grafton. I thought I had a sinus infection-- Dr. Burrows discovered that it was alergies and told me to use the Neti Pot which I am doing. I was impressed with her thoroughness. I decided to have Dr. Burrows as my primary physician. I scheduled an appointment for my annual physical. Dr Burrows was very thorough-- spent time with me before the exam, getting to know me and my history. The exam was very inclusive and I left there knowing I had made the right decision. Two things a women considers to be very important - her doctor and her hairdresser.
