YEARS ago. Sat in front of me, both of us fat, and had the audacity to fat shame me to my face. She talked about a ridiculous "fasting diet" she was on. Yeah, one that's been proven to be nonsense. She never read up on the new Scientific Medical Studies that had just come out proving that being fat is not just people being lazy and overeating, it's also GENETIC. I went way above her and I was assured she would never have anything to do with my medical care again. Now, she rears her head up and is trying to make decisions about my medications: ABSOLUTELY NOT. Stay away from her. Ask for, or demand, a different doctor. Unless you want to be treated poorly by someone who does not follow the newest Scientific Medical Studies, but follows fad diets that don't work.

The OSU healthcare system seems to be only for the uneducated and poor. I have advanced degrees, insurance and unfortunate a number of health conditions that require knowledgeable doctors and staff. It took them two months to refer me to a pain medicine specialist. They don't return calls, they don't refill medicine on time, especially if you use a service like Express Scripts. This doctor told me to find my own specialist and she would make a referral...that was a crap shoot. One time she referred me to a neurologist without discussing it with me and who didn't even treat what I have. The neurologists office called me for an appointment. I went, was told, "Sorry I don't treat that." I still had to pay, all the while with no answers from my doctor as to why I was sent. The staff is incompetent. I needed. Refill on my neuropathy medicine. Express Scripts faxed them the request. After a week, I called and Cooks office first said they didn't get it. Another call and I pushed to another… person and finally found out that Cook said she wanted to see me first, but they couldn't get me in for another week. I ask for enough meds until the next visit, the office help said no. I ask if there was another Dr. I could see. The staff person said no. In all of OSU, I could see no other Dr. I told the staff person that I thought it was cruel to make me go such a long time ( one two weeks) without neuropathy medicine (see Lyrica ad on TV for what this painful condition feels like). Then, I got a letter telling me the whole OSU healthcare system was dropping me as a patient! I even lost my wonderful cardiologist I was seeing there. Dr. cook kicked me out of another Dr, How does that happen? I'll tell you. I got my medical records...she is not truthful. I'm educated and used to the smart doctors on the East coast. The osteopath guys go to school in Tulsa and stay inTulsa. Their limited experience and monopoly are outrageously substandard. If they can treat me this way, what in God's name are they doing to the poor, indigent and uneducated? They admit these are who they serve. Please go somewhere else where the MDs have a range of experience. Your life is in danger.
