Dr. Katherine Ann Hanify, DO

I sent my doctors office (Dr. Hanify in Kennebunk) the medical form portion of my unemployment paperwork 3 weeks ago, and instead of faxing it directly to the Department of Labor (like it says to right on the paper!!), they mailed it back to me directly, and now it's not going to be able to get to where it needs to go before my interview this Tuesday. I'm so glad I'll be switching to Martin's Point; the incompetence and callousness I've experienced at SMHC is astounding.

Dr. Hanify has been very impressive. I have never had a physician take the time and care that she demonstrates. I would recommend her to anyone.

She moved without informing her patients and now I have to search for where she now practices.

I am a former health care professional myself, and while I am now working in the corporate world, I think that I have a good idea what is important in a doctor, and what is not...I do not care so much about bedside manner or whether the office staff is warm and fuzzy. What matters to me is that the doctor is up to date on the current advances in medicine, and despite being busy takes the time to drill down to what is wrong. Dr Hanify has both of those qualities, and also is a person with a sense of humor and a really nice personality. Her office staff is trying hard but because she has 2 locations and they do not share the same systems it is a little confusing working with them. But that is not a huge deal. Waiting times in the office are not a big deal to me, but in any event they are not bad. My overall opinion of Dr Hanify is this: if you are looking for a primary care physician who is up to date and easy to work with, she would be a really good choice.

dr hanify has proved to be an extraordinay caregiver. her true concern and excellent diagnoses record has earned her to be a most respected doctor by many. she most certainly dedicates numerous hours to care for her patients.
