Summary
Welcome to my home page
I enjoy making a difference in the lives of others. The reason I chose my subspecialty in breast imaging is that I enjoy the interaction with patients and diagnosing/excluding breast cancer. I meet amazing women who share different outlooks on life and many are courageous survivors. I am happy to be contributing a small part to their overall care.
Radiology is about making a diagnosis through images. I find it challenging and interesting to see different images and use them as clues to formulate a diagnosis. But beyond making a diagnosis, I think everyone is entitled to quality care, and I believe in communicating clearly to patients. This means I explain processes step by step, help set patient expectations, and define results and outcomes from mammography and other procedures. In breast imaging, I believe in a compassionate and caring environment, since it can be a very stressful time for women having to return for additional imaging or a procedure or being …newly diagnosed with cancer.
I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because everyone is friendly and approachable, and we work as a team. I’m able to concentrate on my work and specialty without worrying about the business aspects. Also, I love Kaiser Permanente's thrive campaign and the fact that this organization promotes general wellness and sponsors events like races and marathons to support our community. On a personal note, my hobbies include running, hiking, photography, cooking, reading, and traveling.
Clinical interests and affiliations
I did my radiology residency in Phoenix, Arizona, at St. Joseph's Hospital/Barrow Neurological Institute. I also did two fellowships in radiology: a Breast/Body Imaging fellowship at University of Colorado in Denver, and a Breast/Ultrasound fellowship at University of California, San Francisco. My interest is in breast imaging, as well as breast MRI and MRI guided breast biopsies and localizations.
I am affiliated with a number of professional and other associations, including the following: American Medical Association, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American Association for Women Radiologists, Society of Breast Imaging, Colorado Radiological Society, Arizona Medical Association, Habitat for Humanity, Phi Mu Sorority Alumni, Ohana Race for the Hungry, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Foundation Race for the Cure.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews
Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.
Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.
Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
