Dr. Katherine Grace Palmer

Dr. Katherine Palmer assisted with my emergency care on June 17, 2026, at Swedish Hospital’s Broadway location in Seattle. The ER was extremely busy, yet despite her heavy patient load, she consistently followed up with me and continued ordering additional tests to make sure nothing serious was being missed. I arrived with vertigo, head pain, and nausea, and through her thorough and thoughtful care, we discovered that I was critically low on calcium and potassium. She also ruled out a brain tumor and vascular issues with a CT scan of my brain and MRI imaging of my head and neck. Her diligence and attention to detail gave me tremendous peace of mind. Dr. Palmer is truly a shining light at this location. What impressed me most was not only her medical expertise, but her compassion and humility. She even apologized for delays and circumstances beyond her control, demonstrating genuine concern for her patients. Unfortunately, the Broadway location is struggling with overcrowding and… conditions in the waiting area. There are often many unhoused individuals waiting for care, with some sleeping on the limited benches, making the lobby feel overcrowded and less clean than patients would hope for. These conditions are not a reflection of Dr. Palmer or the staff, who are working incredibly hard under difficult circumstances.
