Dr. Katherine Jean Schultz, MD

Dr. Katherine Schultz is a rheumatologist and pediatrician who brings 11 years of experience caring for children with joint and muscle conditions. She earned her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where she developed expertise in treating complex rheumatologic conditions that affect young patients. Her dual specialty training allows her to address both the inflammatory joint diseases common in rheumatology and the broader health needs of pediatric patients.

Dr. Schultz practices at several leading medical centers, including UnityPoint Health Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, and University of Iowa Health Care facilities in Iowa City, Iowa. She also sees patients at UNM Children's Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her clinical focus includes treating joint pain and limping in children, as well as helping young patients who experience loss of trunk control.
