Dr. Kathie Lynn Hullfish, MD

This doctor that has the best bedside manner I've ever been to. She actually sits and talks to you. Asks about your concerns. Explains everything in detail. Makes you feel very comfortable. Probably one of the best physicians I've ever seen.

I was referred to her office from a Urologist that had determined I required surgical repair. After a nearly 3 month wait for the appt I received an initial exam and was sent home with "homework". I was then made a follow up appt that took another 2 months to get. At that appt I was told that she doesn't know what's wrong with me and suggested it was "in my head" and compared my symptoms to a migraine headache that could be relieved with a walk or a massage. I was shocked that she would come across so condescending for an issue that i have been suffering from for nearly a year at that point. I was then told she would" show me to the door so i wouldn't get lost in her clinic." I stopped her in hallway and expressed my anger and frustration in making me come to an appointment that took 2 months to get and is over 1.5 hours from my home!! to tell me she wasn't going to help me. To make things so much worse, my follow up care from her reads "nothing". Ive never felt like a health… care practitioner could care less for me and it has created a real distrust for the whole community. I am so disgruntled that I honestly find it hard to believe that her low rating of 3.4 on other sites is even that high. It is a real shame that we live in a society that our health insurance can dictate that we are only allowed to see these Drs that offer far below par services.

My experience with Dr. Hullfish has been absolutely wonderful. Very professional and caring from beginning to end. Her office called to check on me after surgery twice to make sure I was doing good and pain management was under control. Love this team.

Really nice and friendly front staff. Dr. Hullfish took time to talk with me and my husband. She patiently answered all my questions. Her reputation at UVA is fantastic and now I know why!

She explained things with diagrams and words that I could understand. She's a very kind person and her nurse and secretary are the BEST!!

Dr. Hullfish was very knowledgeable and understanding of this type of surgery. I felt confident in the kind of answers for this procedure. I'm regaining a better quality of life.

really nice nurse and staff. she put me at ease, with a wonderful bedside manner. invited my husband to come back for a full discussion of my condition and treatment options. eventually I had surgery and couldn't be happier. would recommend her tp any of my family and/or friends. the best!
