Dr. Kathleen Vitton Farrell

Dr. Farrell interrupted me, talked over me and wouldn't listen to me. Her inpatient "treatment plan" for my child was something we had tried numerous times for over a year in the outpatient setting, but she wouldn't listen to me. Another prong of her treatment plan was something that for -- about 10 listed reasons -- didn't work for our child, our family or our home, but she wouldn't listen to me. She was totally unprofessional and constantly tried to blame other departments for her ineffective treatment plan and poor attitude, saying my problem wasn't with her but with our "common enemy" in another department. She brought me to tears many times, including when she told me I wasn't putting my child first or thinking about his needs. She had an argument with me in a public hallway, when she responded sarcastically "OK!," spun on her heel, and walked away from me. That was when I fired her and barred her from entering the hospital room again. She nearly had me giving up on inpatient… treatment and walking out AMA. She is a monster, and I would never let her treat another child of mine again.
