Dr. Kathleen Marie Garbooshian, MD

I'm a current patient at SD where she recently became affiliated with. I inquired to become a new patient as she was accepting new patients. When I called I was asked some strange questions like if I was receiving Workers Comp or NY No-Fault benefits, to which I answered "no". Within a half an hour I received a call advising she would not accept me as a new patient. It concerns me why these questions were asked and raises concerns. When I asked what were the reasons I was not being accepted, I was told "the Dr doesn't provide reasons". Very suspicious.

She has been my doctor for several years and I am very pleased with her care. I moved from Rome over a year ago and haven't found a new doctor because I am so pleased with her, I find it worth the trip. She is direct and to the point, so if you are looking for someone to sugarcoat or coddle you, she isn't the doctor for you. I have a few health issues and her diagnosis and treatment has been spot on. She is also very good with following up on budding problems, taking every step to try to get a handle on issues before they become big issues.

Staff at Rome medical group are great. As per this Doctor she SUCKS as a Doctor and human she needs a attitude adjustment and remember she is here to help people not harm them.

Never been happy with her. Thought she was rude and not concerned. Will never go to her again. Makes me feel small and unimportant. Final straw came when she would not tell me why she had ordered a particularly intrusive exam that was totally unrelated to my complaint. I suspected a mistake, or fraud, but found out I have a potentially serious condition. Got a new Doctor.

Not happy with how you can hear everything about a patient in the next exam room, which means others can hear everything about my health and health problems. So much for confidentiality. Bed side manner had a lot to be desired. Does nothing to help with weight lose. Just says keep a food journal and exercise more. Does nothing if these don't work. Now on a search for a dr. that can help with my slow metabolism and hormone imbalance.
