Dr. Kathleen Samantha Johnson, MD

I went to this doctor for more than a year complaining of a dull pain in my lower left pelvic area. She sent me for tests that she says showed nothing. To make a long story short, I ended up in an emergency room where I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I went to this doctor in 2013 complaining of an ache in my pelvic area. I had been her patient for several years. I didn't find anything exceptional about her services, but I hadn't had any serious illnesses either. She sent me to Hillandale hospital for an ultrasound. The ultrasounds found nothing. I then went to my internist and she did the same thing. Ordered an ultrasound that found nothing. In 2015 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage IIIc in the emergency room of Rockdale hospital after a CT scan was done. I had been out of town and when I returned home I felt so bad I went to the emergency room. Unfortunately, I didn't know to ask my OBGYN or my Internist to order a CT scan but I feel they should have known. Both of these doctors let me walk out of their offices with that ache in my pelvic area and not recommending additional tests. They both just told me "the ultrasound didn't find anything." Dr. Johnson may be a good baby doctor, but that's about it. I wouldn't… recommend her to any friend or family member. It is my hope that smart patients looking for a good doctor and sees my review will bypass this doctor. I have become a vicious advocate for my own health and for trying to help other women choose the right doctor. I wish I had known back then what I know now. For anyone who is looking for a good doctor, please read the reviews, ratings and where they received their education. Believe me patients do no have a reason to lie about doctors. And yes, I will be writing a review for my Internist as well.

Dr. Johnson has a lot of wisdom and experience. She also knows when to refer someone to another doctor for a procedure. You will never experience unnecessary pain during an exam or pap smear, or needless embarrassment when she is checking you for a complaint. The other doctors in the practice often call on her for advice in difficult cases. I have always felt as if she cared about me. I can be very sensitive, and I feel as if she has taken the time to tell me even negative information in the most gentle way possible. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to schedule an appointment with her since she is so popular.
