Dr. Kathleen McCombs:
Dr. Kathleen McCombs is a graduate of the prestigious University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. She went on to complete several more years of surgical training and residency receiving her Master’s of Science in Dentistry degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry Periodontics in periodontology and implantology at Indianapolis, Indiana. She was in practice four years prior to achieving her Masters of Dentistry as a family and cosmetic dentist.

A former visiting professor of periodontics and a current full-time private …practitioner, Dr. Kathleen McCombs combines her recognized abilities and clinical skills to present and teach courses on oral plastic surgical techniques, dental implants, bone and ridge augmentation and reconstruction. She has presented in the United States to dental school students and faculty, private practice dentists, professional dental study clubs, and international dental societies in Seoul, Korea, and lectured and demonstrated surgical techniques to the oral surgeons and periodontists of Ho Chi Men City Vietnam Ministry of Health.
Dr. McCombs served on the Board of Directors Professional Advisors to LifeCell Corporation, and served on volunteer committees for Salt Lake District Dental Society. She organized and served as first president of the Utah Female Dental Society. Dr. McCombs enthusiastically pursues quality continuing education, allowing her to provide state of the art implants and periodontal services.
Dr. McCombs also donates her professional time and services to the local homeless shelter dental clinic along with foreign dental volunteer assignments to South America, Ukraine, Nepal and India. Dr. McCombs recently traveled to the jungles of Guatemala’s Polochic Valley with the humanitarian group Singular Humanitarian in the summer of 2009 and provided free medical and dental care and also education. Dr. McCombs was the only dentist among 80 other volunteers from across the nation and during the mission treated more than 300 people performing more than 250 extractions and 75 teeth cleanings. In 2010 Dr. McCombs is traveling to the Ukraine and also Nepal in the fall to complete extended service missions similar to the Guatemala expedition. “All of the humanitarian expeditions I have been on are very rewarding,” Dr. McCombs said. “I am able to provide a service to these people that they cannot provide for themselves. If I didn’t do it, I don’t know who would. It’s touching to see how grateful people are and to know I have played a part in changing their lives for the better.”
