Dr. Kathleen Patrice Soe, DO

Several months ago, I had my first… and LAST appointment with Dr. Soe. She walked in the exam room - never greeted me by name or even a “good morning”. Then we wasted at least 5 (of my vast 15 mins.) “discussing” MY FATHER’S skin cancer history. My father WAS NEVER HER PATIENT! And, I’m the daughter whom took him to his skin doctor appointments! Dr. Soe (for whatever reason) wanted to argue with me about my dad’s TWO bouts with MELANOMA. She was “sure” I was wrong. “Everyone who hears ‘skin cancer’ THINKS MELANOMA when it’s just a least dangerous skin cancers”. She’s was WRONG!! We have melanoma history in our family!!! Very surely, augmentative and frankly, just RUDE. She preformed a “micro” exam (my 1st visit to a dermatologist in years), didn’t check my scalp (I’m very Irish - fair skin, blonde hair & blue eyes) nor even my slightly lower part of my back by my unders to check my upper buttocks or lower back. I felt like a Medicare Card”. Took her gloves off and walked out of… the room. No “nice meeting ya” or “see ya next visit” or “have a nice day” - NADA. Just said, “You are very lucky.” (almost like she was ‘mad’ at me for NOT HAVING ANY SIGNS OF CANCER!!” There are too many good docs out there to waste my time AND MONEY on this nonsense. Find someone else…

I have been a patient of Dr. Soe for a number of years. Service to her patients has severely declined and her emotional out bursts are a problem. She will not engage in problem solving and is prepared to abandon the patient even after deliv ering a shattering diagnosis. If you are searching for a competent and caring dermatologis, I strongly urge you to by pass Dr. Soe.

The front desk staff was great. Dr. Soe was unprofessional and rushed. I felt like a cow getting herded to the slaughter. I will never go back.

Dr Soe is wonderful! I recently visited for a follow up appointment. I was able to see Dr.Soe within a week of my call. As always the office staff is courteous and friendly. 5 min wait time. Dr. Soe is very personable and kind. She patiently walked me through what the biopsy entails. The entire procedure was 5 min, but Dr Soe took her time talking with me before and after. Excellent bedside manner!

Saw assistant and received chapstick-type ointment. Called back about a week later after running out of ointment with no improvement. Purchased more ointment and special lip sunscreen block. No improvement. Was planning on going out of town - lips were blistered - they could not see me. Spoke to Nancy who told me they had no appointments and they really had done all they could. Called back one more time to no avail and they referred me to my PCP. Got in to see my PCP that day who CORRECTLY diagnosed the problem which completely cleared up in about a week.

Removed a cyst on my face and left a hole which I still have....treated my wife for vein removal in leg and bungled it....she had a wound that lasted four months before fully healing...her lack of interest when we returned was astounding.

Worst experience ever with a doctor. She ruined my face. I sought help for bumps under my eyes. She immediately sat me down and without my knowledge or permission, began to perform a procedure attempting to rid the bumps. I stopped her not knowing what she was doing. But enough damage was done. She showed zero sympathy, and not only blamed me for what happened, but informed me I was no longer her patient. I get up every day (10 years later), and have to look at my face. A face she damaged.

I have been going to Dr. Soe's office now for several years and have recommended Virginia Street dermatology to several family and friends. I have been treated for multiple skin issues including skin cancer. The entire staff has always been very professional and Dr. Soe has a great bedside manner. Each visit has started with a professional handshake and a very knowledgeable approach to the various treatments. As with anything the patient should always ask questions and be aware of potential scarring with each type of treatment. Dr. Soe has referred me to other Doctors for deeper more intense operations for various surgeries that required specialty approaches. It is good to know that she isn't out just to make a dollar and will recommend other options if needed. I highly recommend her office to anyone.

Dr Soe's assistant was very rude and Dr Soe was very condescending

I visited the doctor's office several years ago and was very satisfied with the treatment I received for a problem with an acne-type skin problem on my scalp. The advice and medicine I received was from an assistant' s physician. I did not see Dr Soe personally. At present I have some suspicious growths I believe need attention.
