Dr. Kathleen Marie Wiese, DO

I was a patient of Dr. Wiese for years, i hate she left Wilmington, she was very caring and knowledgeable of cluster headaches, and knew how to treat them with the latest technology and methods possible and always took time to answer any questions i had. No one has compared to her. I miss her as my neurologist.

I saw Dr. Wiese once. She is highly intelligent and knew her stuff. Other than that, very disorganized . She recently left her practice and moved to SC. Had I not called to check when my appointment for a follow up to an ER visit I would have not been told that she moved. I found that to be very unprofessional and uncaring. Not sure if the mistake of the follow up appointment not being made when I was told it was by my primary is Dr.Wiese or Wilmington Healths fault, but I was not impressed at all by the care I received.

Failed to respond to numerous calls; 1 call for appt. Associates in multi-specialty practice, WHA refuse to cover or even consult chart

Was concerned after reading some of the reviews but my visit went very well. Dr. Wiese seemed to really care about my situation, was very kind and wanted to do what should could to help me with my situation. I waited less than 5 minutes and was taken straight to her office to begin my appointment. I feel like she is really wanting to help me. It is just so nice when you leave a doctors office and feel like you were heard and that they care. I had a good experience.

My husband came to see her, she took us into her office, she never examined him, she was not helpful, when I tried to follow up after a test result, got no response. We felt absolutely like we were of no importance, though we were going through life-changing medical conditions. She may be brilliant, as I had heard, but we were not the beneficiaries of that brilliance.

NEVER LAYED A HAND ON ME....DID NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING I HAD TO SAY...I AM A BRAIN TUMOR SURVIOR AND I HAVE MASSIVE MIGRAINES AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK....BUT IF I WERE NOT WILLING TO LET HER INJECT ME BOTOX AT $400.00 A POP......SHE COULD NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME. I WOULD NOT GIVE HER A SINGLE STAR BUT YOU HAVE GIVE ONE FOR THIS TO POST. AWFUL!

Dr. Wiese is incredibly smart, curious, and insightful. My daughter also sees her. No, she is not warm and fuzzy. Yes, she is direct, perceptive, and able to put pieces of the puzzle together when other neurologists have not. She came highly recommended by several other doctors.

I waited 45 minutes past my appt time to be seen and she didn't even examine me!! She sat behind her desk and did nothing for me. She answered her cellphone in the middle of the appt about dinner. She was rude, sarcastic, and tried to belittle my concerns. Luckily, I found another neurologist in Wilmington who was the complete opposite and is providing me with great care- if left up to her I would be fighting this on my own.

Very rude, unprofessional, uncaring. As a healthcare provider myself I am embarrassed she shares my profession. Don't waste your money or time.

When you visit Dr. Wiese The nurse takes you to a typical evaluation room. She comes in and takes you to her sloppy disorganized office. It was important that I have the test results for Tysabri. She couldn't or didn't know how to find the results on the computer called for the nurse still very disorganized and could not find results in a binder. after four months on Tysabri i ended up in the hospital for six months. During that time she distanced herself and made no attempt to return any phone calls seeking for help and assistance from her. Thank goodness i had a concerned internal med doctor in Wilmington Health. My immune system was destroyed by this drug and I ended up with Ramsay hunt shingles in my head and meningitis. Fell from vertigo and had broken pelvic bone. Ended up in acute respiratory distress and thank God for UNC Chapel Hill doctors after a tracheotomy they save my life. I was sent home paralyzed from my waist down. Do not go to this doctor!!! She deserves a… zero
