Dr. Kathleen Marie Young, MD

Untalented psychiatrist. Doesn't do well with working alongside the patient and establishing an effective "team." Instead, wants to be in complete control and often times chooses to overmedicate instead of looking for other effective alternatives. Her therapy sessions are a joke where she spends majority of the time asking you the same questions over and over and not addressing the responses whatsoever. Basically in it for medication management and claims to do "therapy" so she can bill more for her sessions (which are extremely overpriced given the quality of her sessions). Doesn't believe in feedback from the patient or in the patient asking his or her primary doctor (or any other doctor for that matter) for additional advice. Huge ego, and can never be wrong. I doubt she even keeps up with the current psychiatric literature because it might go against her preconceived notions on what is right. Loves psychiatric labels and doesn't really feel that patients can overcome their illness.… Not an advocate at all for true patient recovery and success.

I highly recommend Dr. Young. She is very knowledgeable, attentive, and caring. She knows what she is doing and really cares about her oatients. She is also very responsive to phone calls and emails.

I have been seeing Dr. Young for a few years now, and she is one of the best doctors that I have seen. She is knowledgeable, patient, compassionate, and easy to talk to. I look forward to my appointments with her.

Dr. Young is very kind, patient and friendly. She is very professional and knowledgeable. She did a careful examination of my teeth health and my root canal for my big tooth. She is flexible and customer oriented. She is caring and followed up with me a few days after my treatment to see how I was doing. Dr. Young is very focused throughout the surgery. She had to overcome a few hurdles as my situation was a little difficult. However she did not give up easily, and she did it really well and professionally. I received a professional treatment without pain at all! Even after the surgery. Dr. Young really treated her patients the way she wanted to be treated. Her assistance Jackie was also very helpful and professional at what she is doing. It was a very pleasant experience.I highly recommend them!

I would highly recommend Dr. Young. She is remarkably intelligent, kind, easy to communicate with and thorough. My son has been through many psychiatrists, and Dr. Young is the best by leaps and bounds.
