I have been a patient of Dr. Risen for over 20years I have a high version of respect for her?? She has helped me emensly, I do not know what I would do with out her??

There aren't enough words to describe this wonderful doctor. She works with her patients and takes a conservative approach when prescribing medications. She listens to her patients and offers them options. She is always available even after office hours. She has been on vacation and insisted that we keep in touch to check on my condition. She has been my life line during many very dark moments. she is so caring and supportive and it shows in her actions. For the person that critiqued her office decor......... She is a professional ballet dancer! Her office is clean,inviting,relaxing, and very interesting to the eye. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating just like Dr. Rowen is. Dr. Rowen is very patient and beyond passionate in what she does for her patients. She has been so supportive and has exceeded all my expectations. She is my angel in disguise ! I highly recommended her to anyone seeking out an excellent psychiatrist.

Dr. Rowen worked with me and my family through a rough period of depression. She is one of the most generous and helpful doctors I have encountered in any field. In particular, it’s VERY difficult to find a good psychiatrist. I’ve been to a few bad ones so I know. She’s almost always available and will return calls promptly. Her office is comfortable and inviting. She never rushes through an appointment. Thank you, Dr. Rowen!

She told me that it was fine to be on a depression medication and a mood stabilizer. Then I had a mixed stare episode that caused a major issue in my life. Next I saw Dr. Rowen she said well this was bound to happen. You should have never been on a depression medication and a mood stabilizer at the same time. Really??? Well then why did you prescribe it?

Been with Dr. Rowen for almost 20 years, 16 of those years I have driven from the Philadelphia suburbs. She is that good and our working relationship leaves me wanting for nothing.

Compassionate, effective, and flexible. She agreed that on "checking in" every 6 months when in remission, and added appointments on a more frequent basis when needed.

Dr. Rowen's attentiveness is good and she seems genuinely to want to help clients. If you have a serious mental illness, however, I would keep looking. She misdiagnosed my problem, even after I gave her my previous diagnoses, and gave me samples of a single medication to try. I have never been placed on a single medication in my life. Predictably, my symptoms got worse and I found a different doctor. Fair enough, but this was a $500 lesson that I didn't need to learn. On a personal note, her waiting room looks like it was decorated by a adolescent--pink and representations of ballerinas everywhere.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful Dr. She is the best in the world. Knowledable, loving, always listens and gets me on track again. I had a bad experience with other Dr in delaware who almost did me in it all started out to be a bowel infection and they put me on all this medication that spirals down to almost nothing in 2010. This Lady seen what the wrong medications can do to a person and therefore she saved my like. Thank you Dr. Rowan I wish her every happiness for saving my life.
