Dr. Kathryn Marie Amacher, DO

If I could give Dr. Amacher no stars I would. She's doctor who doesn't care about her patients or their families. She has a poor bedside manner and doesn't know how to talk to people. My Dad was in Memory Care for 14 months on hospice, dying from congestive heart failure, Alzheimer's/Dementia and Parkensins. She only saw him 2 times for 5 minutes. I would not recommend her.

took my mom for a follow up. Staff opened door welcomed us back. Staff is so gentle and caring.

I have dealt with dr. Amacher through Fairfield acute rehab. I have never had a doctor that I would could call after hours that didn't have an answering service but that answer the phone herself. Each time I called her with a problem or a question it was resolved right away. My mother-in-law has been in Fairfield acute rehab quite a few times and dr. Amacher was her doctor each time . Dr. Amacher is a warm woman, but her practice is too busy for me. She allowed many phone calls about other patients during our visits and I perceived her to be rushing the visit and not taking the time to answer my questions.

Rude staff. Told my mother she would see her at nursing home. Did not come for days, sends her students instead who don't understand anything that the patient has been going through. Dr. Amacher is distracted constantly answering her phone during visits with my mother. She is not a good listener.

Felt like she had all the time in the world to talk to me

I would definitely not recommend this Dr. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone or get a call back. She makes a big deal about going to senior homes and seeing patients there...it's a big scam. Very rude office staff. Plus, they have salespeople there from vitamin companies trying to pressure sell patients on worthless vitamin programs to scam more money from seniors.

She impressed me when she listened to my ideas and actually changed my medication after I researched it and asked her to let me try it.
