Dr. Kathryn Louise Bilello, MD

Dr. Bilello is very patient, articulate, easy to understand, straight to the point, and will explain proposed treatment and/or your ailment in every detail. She is like having a MD for a Big Sister to take care of you. The program she works for (Lung Nodule) definitely has its flaws. It is very regimented and inflexible, for instance appointments are only on Mondays, Biopsies are performed on Thursdays only. I came into the program already having a CT Scan of my lung nodule (tumor < 3cm) It took me 12 days to get my first appointment, and another 12 days to get the biopsy scheduled. Also, there is no one to call to except for a nurse except for rare instances, The Dr's in this program do not return calls, except perhaps in case of some emergency. I am 27 days in and still have no diagnosis. However, this is due in part to an unproductive needle biopsy most likely due to the small size of my tumor. On the positive side, they use a team of all specialists that need to be… involved in your particular treatment (Internist, surgeon, radiologist., etc), so that a treatment plan is well thought out and reviewed. I still do not have a diagnosis, but, the team has referred me to a specialist, and all seems to be moving rapidly now.
