Dr. Kathryn S Gillmore Byrd, DO

DR Byrd, her assistant, front desk, lab techs and check out were and have consistently been superior. I never hesitate to recommend her office to friends and coworkers when they want the best and honest medical care. Dr Byrd's clear, specific and direct medical advice is not found often. SHE CARES; IT SHOWS IN HER HONESTY. I see many physicians; she is the BEST.

These are outdated, I used to see Dr Byrd in Trophy CLub, I followed her to Colleyville since I had a longstanding relationship with her. I thinks she is a wonderful, caring dr, she is outspoken but that is what I prefer. SHe spends alot of time with me, listens to me, and then makes her judgement, she does not have any preconceived opinions. SHe sees my entire family which is several generations and we all LOVE HER, would never see anyone else!

Great Doctor, very caring, but straight forward in her diagnosis. Thin fingers, which as a man I appreciate on my yearly physical.

Dr. Byrd, herself, is an good doctor. She is direct with her approach. However she has an office manager who is a bitter old woman, who could care less about anything outside of her myopic little job. The office staff is a group of post-prime women who are man-haters. Most bitter is Gretchin, who would rather do anything than help a customer. They have far too many patients and it shows in every aspect of the practice. Lab results are never reviewed. Perscriptions are written wrong and require correction over 70% of the time. And lastly, they are never able to "get you in" unscheduled because they are overbooked every day. When you ask them about why you have to wait so long once you arrive, your told each time, month after month, that they have a new billing/scheduling system which is the issue. Well, that excuse was old 6 months ago! Since they are all so old, they are struggling to use current technologies. Makes you wonder what else could be missed due to this mantra! Time to move!

Dr. Byrd is very nice. However, her staff is not friendly or helpful at all and the wait time is not accurate. We have waited an average of 60 minutes of longer to see her the last 3 visits to her office.

Dr. Byrd, herself, is an excellant Dr. Her office manager, however, lacks basic customer service skills and is condesending to my wife, kids and self. Changing PCP today. Sorry Dr. Byrd! Remember we are PAYING customers and should be treated as such!

Superb physician and practitioner. Knowledgeable and personable, she is an absolutely superb doctor.

Dr. Byrd is the absolutely the best family doctor and I will never see anyone else. She has personally called me to check on me when I was sick with the flu on a Sunday afternoon just because she was worried. The woman has a heart of gold. I also like the fact that she is a DO and not just a MD. She will write you a prescription if you need it but if there is something that is cheaper and you can buy it over the counter she will have you do that. She considers you financial well being as well as you physical well being. She has written me a prescription for stomach medication and had it precerted through my insurance for a over the counter medication so all I had to pay is the $10 co-pay instead of the $40 over the counter price. This woman has a special place in heaven. She will return your calls if you need to talk to her, not like most doctors where you cant even talk to your doctor without making a appointment.. All you get is an assistant. Her office staff is awesome and… will go the extra mile to help you in absolutely any way they can, and they are NICE about. Which is a complete rarity now days. If you need an appointment you can get one and not have to wait 3 weeks, usually within 1 to 2 days. I have even been called and told that they had a cancelation if I would like to come in within a few hours. Laney Gee (Office Manager), Melissa (Insurance), Terry (Front Desk) and Dr. Addy (another DR. in TCFM) are also wonderful assets to Trophy Club Family Medicine.
