Dr. Kathryn Marie Cvar, MD

when i first started seeing Dr Cvar, I thought she was the greatest. She was kind, explained things, gentle, you name it. I then switched insurance to a poor HMO. Magically she turns into this incredibly hostile and verbally abusive person with tons of anger management issues. Unless you have the best insurance, best to avoid her wrath

Dr Svar is a true professional in every way. I am 86 and have the usual age related female problems. Dr. Cvar has not only fixed my problems but has made my husband extremely happy. He told Dr Cvar this: “ After retiring We lived overseas In several countries and in 10 different cities in the USA. During all of this you Dr Cvar are the best Gynecologist we have ever had”.

I would never reccomend this doctor to anyone. She has a horrible bed side manner and was very unprofessional.

Dr Cvar came highly recommended but never have I been more disgusted or disappointed in a Doctor. It was clear to me and my husband that she felt I had enough children already and should not have more. She tried to dissuade me from having another child by telling me at my age (36) I could have twin daughters with Down syndrome. I was shocked. during my pregnancy she misread ultrasounds, pushed for early D&C's, and made devastating medical decisions that ultimately caused a miscarriage of a perfectly healthy baby. The miscarriage was traumatic and required emergency surgery. She never once apologized, nor did she call to check up on me. The minute she realized her mistake she washed her hands of it and never looked back. She was more concerned with avoiding a lawsuit than her patient.

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and I don't feel like I'm getting enough information or enough attention at her office. First of all, it's been awful for me to have to go to appointments by myself. My husband cannot make it because she makes us wait outside for 1-2 hours. He can't give up that time in his busy schedule to wait in the lobby for a doctor to call. Also, when she calls, she sees me for 5 minutes and that's it. No information, no questions answered because she is rushing to see someone else. I think it's very disrespectful. I'm paying (a lot) for the visit and taking time off work to see her. It's a huge effort for me to come as well. My last ultrasound was 1 minute long. I SWEAR! I was trying to make a video to show my husband and she only saw the baby for a minute (I have it recorded to prove) and she left the room in a rush. I had tons of questions that weren't discussed at all, and she didn't even let me listen to my baby's heart rate. I was really, I mean, extremely… disappointed. A week after my last appointment, her assistent called saying that I had urinary tract infection. Seriously? I'm pregnant and you just tell me a week later? What about my pain, and the danger? I was so shocked with the careless attention I'm getting in that office. Furthermore, I had an emergency with my pregnancy and I couldn't call my doctor because she never gave me her phone number!!! Who am I supposed to call off hours? My neighbor I guess?? She's great when she's trying to sell you any product though! Very nice and patient when there's money involved. My delivery was never discussed until now and I have no clue about anything. I mean anything in my pregnancy! Definitely switching doctors!

I just had my first baby and Dr Cvar was my ob. It was fine in the first few visits. We waited an hour for a 3-5 minute appt. She would rush in and rush out. We had no Real issues at the time so we thought it was not great but she seemed nice enough. Later on in my pregnancy I had issues. And Dr Cvar was still rushing in and out. I had questions that were never answered. I did not trust her medical judgment. She needs to slow down and care for the patient in front of her and educate the patient. I was in the hospital for about 12-14 days. I saw Dr Cvar about 4 times, she actually delivered my baby, which I would have rather had one of her partners. I was the worst experience of my life. I am not sure I ever want to have a baby again after having her as my ob. After she delivered my baby she rushed out and never came to see us again in the hospital. She was actually discussing other patients while I was pushing. IT WAS AWFUL! I still wake up crying about the birthing experience. I would… never want anyone else to have to go through what I went through with her. It was obvious that she did not care. One of her partners that had seen us at the beginning of our hospital stay came to say goodbye and check in on us even when he was not on. Never saw Dr Cvar again in hospital. The Nurse could never get ahold of her. Disappointing. I actually work in the medical field, I learned a lot from her about what not to do with patients.

My Gynecologist was on vacation and the operator put me through to Dr. Cvar who was on call that day for the questions I had. She started yelling at me over the phone. Apparently I must have bothered her somehow. And then she said some words extremely unprofessional, deeply insulting and disturbing. These words are inexcusable to say under any circumstances not mentioning from a doctor. I never met Dr. Cvar myself and that was the only experience I had with her. And that's pretty much enough.

When I first met Dr. Czar she came off as a great doctor and once I went to my second appointment her true colors came out. Every appointment I waited longer than an hour to see her and once I saw her It was only for two seconds. She never went over anything about the baby. She treats you like you're a number and she really doesn't have time for you. I was anemic and I never got a phone call about it, she told me 4 weeks later at my next appointment. She called me the wrong name after seen her for 6 months. She went and scheduled my c-section appointment with the hospital before discussing it with me, I got a phone call telling me what day I'm going to have my baby... It was a total shock to me! Unprofessional, she treats you like your not iimportant, has way to many patients to even call you the right name, spends little time with you when you do see her after waiting for over an hour. I have changed doctors, she is not worth my time!

I was very impressed with Dr. Cvar and her back office staff. They were all great. Dr. Cvar was very knowledgable and definitely went the extra mile. I appreciate that Dr. Cvar spent quality time with me reviewing my history and responded accordingly. I feel blessed to have her as my doctor. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Cvar is wonderful! She listens and takes the time to go over all of your questions. She is proactive about healthcare and always seems to go the extra mile in diagnosing you and following up with you. UNFORTUNATELY, the office always has at least a 20 - 30 minute wait (and sometimes even longer) and the office staff are brisk and not very friendly. I love the Doctor (and would recommend her to anyone) but I don't love the staff.
