Dr. Kathryn Marie Ekstrom, MD

I had my first appt with Dr. Piercy this week because I needed to get a primary care doc set up. I was really worried about disclosing some of my past medical history and my current medications , as it included addiction issues and opiate replacement medications. I have net many doctors that have made it clear that they are judging me as a bad or lesser person then themselves so it's made it hard for me to always disclose this information when meeting a doc for the first time. But Since I needed a long term doctor I knew I had to be completely open about my current situation as to prevent any complications in the future. As I waited for her to meet me in the exam room I prepared myself for the same sort of attitude that I usually get from doctors but when she came into my room she brought with her a positive aire and smiles and absolutely so sign that she was judging on my history. She was very thorough and spent an appropriate amount of time with me making sure she covered all the… issues I had and answered all of my questions as well. She looked really young but she was just as competent as any grey haired older doctors that I've been treated by. I am happy to claim her as my primary care physician and would gladly recommend her to any one looking for a positive & thorough doctor for either a primary long term doc or a doctor for just one appointment.
