Dr. Kathryn Eileen Gallagher, MD

Dr Katie is a wonderful DR. I was having a very tough time with another dr in the practice until I switched over to her. I was having twins and had lots of problems arise during the pregnancy and she was wonderful and explained to me everything that I needed to know about the issue and she never had a problem not answering any of my questions. I will be going to her again!!

It was very difficult to get into see Dr. Gallagher after surgery, even with severe pain. I saw another Dr. in the office who told me it was related to the surgery. I was still in severe pain the next day. I called again to try and see Dr. Gallagher she again would not talk to me but ordered a CT scan. After the CT scan Dr. Gallagher still would not call me back. Her nurse called and insisted it was GI related and I had to call my GI Dr. who reviewed the CT scan and said it was not GI related. He said it was due to the surgery. I called back again and talked to Dr. Gallagher's nurse. She again insisted that it was not related to the surgery. I explained to her that I had 2 other Aurora Dr.s saying it was due to the surgery. She was very rude to me and said I should call me GI Dr. back. It was now late Friday afternoon and I was still in pain. She finally said that Dr. Gallagher could call me back. I was so upset after what I had been through that week I said no as the… nurse continued to insist it was not from the surgery. On Saturday I was able to speak with another Dr. from the office. She said she would speak to Dr. Gallagher. She believed that it was related to the surgery. Again no call from Dr. Gallagher. On Monday I had my follow up appointment. I described the pain to Dr. Gallagher . She then admitted that it was related to the surgery. This was 1 full week after the pain had begun. She apologized for the way it was handled but I would not trust her again. If her nurse is going to be the go between she needs to do a much better job.
