Dr. Kathryn Louise Khouri, DO

I met with Dr. Khouri a few times at the Byron, MN clinic. She answered my questions and ordered the necessary tests. I was a bit apprehensive at first because she seemed so young and also because I had not known that the doctor I had previously been working with had moved out of state. Nevertheless, I was impressed by Dr. Khouri's sincerity; the way she listened to what I had to say; and how she addressed my concerns. She also paid great attention to the notes in my file. She told me that she was just going to be there for a year -- and I am sad not to be returning to see her. I am sorry for the person who wrote the previous review. I am writing because I had such an opposite experience While I, too, have had some negative medical experiences, appointments with Dr. Khouri were all positive.

My gripe is just as much about St.John's as it is Dr. Khouri. Seeing as how i was seeing a different doctor than I saw on my first appointment I was already leery, but i didn't want to wait literally seven weeks for the next appointment, i settled for Khouri. First i got there and was seen an hour and ten minutes past my scheduled appointment. Right from the start she made it clear we needed to make it brief because i was her last patient of the day and the office was technically already closed. We very briefly discussed test results i got sent in for from the previous doctor, medications i had asked about trying for an already diagnosed problem, new problems that require a blood test, and chronic back pain. So what got accomplished from this visit? I got an order for more tests i should have been sent for in the first place, a blood test that didn't even test for the things that could properly diagnose my problem, told i would have to wait and discuss the medication with… whichever doctor i saw next, and a checkout sheet mentioning a completely different location on my back than where i have consistently maintained my pain was. I understand that appointments run late, i understand she was having an extremely busy day, but that isn't my problem. It's very hard to fit in doctors appointments with my work schedule. I am busy too. That is no excuse to rush me through and to keep wanting to send me to more insufficiently ordered tests so they can keep passing me on to the next doctor and have me be their problem. Though i forget the name of the first doctor I saw to St.John, both the doctors i saw are guilty of this. Both doctors are guilty of stating my back pain was mainly in a place it wasn't. Both doctors obviously didn't care.If you want your doctor to wait entirely too long to see an overworked doctor who doesn't listen or care, St.John Providence South Lyon is the place for you. Otherwise, I would advise you to go anywhere but there.
