Dr. Kathryn Ann Leopold, MD

Dismissive, demeaning and condescending. Vascillates on her decisions. Very adept at "blaming the patient" for long- and short-term term issues. Thoroughly a downer at a time of life when positivity and collaboration are most definitely needed.

Dr. Leopold was my doctor for almost 20 years. She was beyond amazing. She was kind and caring and extremely knowledgeable. She listened to everything I said and felt. Her medical expertise saved me and my son. I could not be more grateful for having had her as my doctor for life's most important stages.

I would like to thank Dr. Leopold who helped me in my journey. She retired too soon. She not only diagnosed me but did surgery on me for stage 3 endometriosis. After a long battle with infertility she granted me the gift of becoming a mother. She always believed in my journey and was a kind person who had a gift in healing. Thank you for taking care of me and being caring and compassionate.

Dr. Leopold changed my life! I went to 8 different doctors over years for ongoing issues and discomfort. I saw Dr. Leopold and she immediately told me to make changes with the products I use and I instantly felt better. She is so in-tuned and knowledgeable with a woman's body and especially a woman's intimate parts. She always made me feel so comfortable and made me feel like she really cared.

Saw her once or twice over ten years ago and she failed to diagnose a tight pelvic floor issue (which I have found seems to be common with the hormonal balances occurring in PCOS or on ocp/Spiro...sometimes diminished testosterone in "normal" patients on ocp), which after a neuro insult from an illness, turned into a chronic incontinence problem. Had this been addressed by Dr. Leopold, I wouldn't have suffered as greatly as I have. Additionally, instead of recommending pelvic PT, she recommended psychotherapy and meds. Further, she suggested that I try a lower estrogen birth control pill, which I now know would have been fairly detrimental to my androgenic symptoms from PCOS. Years after not having seen this doctor, other practitioners still reference her note about the meds and therapy. Yeah, maybe learn what you are supposed to know about properly diagnosing and treating conditions within your wheelhouse first before recommending the psych drugs. I'm not exactly sure what else I was… expecting...but it is now clear that your gyn is strictly for helping you deliver babies and then when you get old and start to fall apart, reassuring you that they can send you to someone who can give you several drugs in concert with your daily glass of wine to help you forget.

Dr. Leopold is a caring, professional, talented MD. She saved my life and has seen me through many medical ups and downs. She has lots of experience but keeps up to date on current trends and medical findings. Has also referred me to some good MDs in other fields.

Im sad to see such disappointing reviews. I just went to see her for the first time last week and I thought she was GREAT! Very personable and takes her time. Her assistant was the same! I would reccommend this place to everyone :)

I agree with the other reviews. When you show up for your appointment, they ignore you through the glass window. They spend a lot of time blaming the Glens Falls office for losing paperwork etc. while the Glens Falls office does the same thing - I've been to both. Dr. Leopold cannot (or won't) make a decision about her patients' care. She wants me to go to my primary for everything even when it's a gynecological issue. The other reviews confirmed that I am right in finding a new OBGyn.

I do not recommend this practice. They are rude upon answering the phone, do not understand the business they are in and do not seem to take important concerns seriously. I called because I was having a problem. My doctor was out of town, so they offered to see me in 5 weeks!! There are several other doctors and PA's in the office. When I questioned why one of these professionals could not see me in the 'group', I was told that they like to keep the patients with the assigned doctor. I asked again why they did not take my concerns seriously and again was told they would see me if they classified it as very serious. Stay away from this place if you want a Doctor or a group who really CARES for your health.

I came in for my appointment telling the doctors I think something is wrong with my baby. They did not take me seriously and told me I worry about every little thing. I begged them for an ultrasound and they told me no. So, I went to somebody else and they did one for me and cysts were found in the baby's brain. They think my baby has trisomy 18 so I'm waiting for the results for that test. I DO NOT recommend going here, especially if you value yours and your baby's health. So unprofessional. Learn how to treat patients.
